May 5, 20232 yr Stoned is very catchy but too repetitive. It sounds like it could be a hit. 69izQLfoi3w
May 6, 20232 yr “Ed Sheeran controls the justice system and when court cases are heard” I think more him and his team knew when the court case was and arranged the album and documentary accordingly. Which is quite a smart move.
May 6, 20232 yr As for the new album, I was actually pleasantly surprised by it - I liked more songs on it than I thought I would. Will give it my second listen soon to see what else sticks.
May 7, 20232 yr @1655000713880297477 Miley Cyrus did 27.7m with her latest so this is definitely an underperformance.
May 7, 20232 yr What do we think the next single from the album will be? I feel like he won't rinse the album for singles this time.
May 9, 20232 yr Album has so far sold 56k so I reckon it could scrape 100k. His No.6 album only sold 125k in its first week Edited May 9, 20232 yr by Hadji
May 9, 20232 yr I don't think it's that farfetched to believe the album release was planned around the time of the lawsuit. Ed says something silly and attention seeking, or loses the lawsuit (I know he didn't), people feel sorry for him, it makes headlines, free publicity...
May 9, 20232 yr It just feels farfetched to me that they would intertwine the lawsuit and album releaae
May 9, 20232 yr I don't disagree that the timing is probably not a coincidence but I feel it's telling that the level of Sheeran cynicism is so great that this is the conversation we're having about the lawsuit rather than, you know, the outcome of the lawsuit. Which I would hope even Ed's biggest detractors will agree is objectively the right decision. (Although maybe not judging by some of the posts earlier in the thread).
May 9, 20232 yr Yet another post deliberately misinterpreting my comment to mock and belittle me. Especially when if you’d bother to read the rest of the thread, you’d understand better what my comment was referring to. Seriously is defending Ed Sheeran really worth making a poster feel small? Yeah I don’t know where this Buzzjack Ed Sheeran love has come from all of a sudden, you can’t say a word slightly against the man without someone immediately replying like “here we go again, this site hates male artists!”
May 9, 20232 yr People say words against Ed Sheeran literally all the time everywhere on here. It being occasionally challenged =/= this site is suddenly full of Ed Sheeran stans. Sorry we sometimes let this place be only 90% an anti Sheeran circlejerk instead of 100%.
May 11, 20232 yr Pitchfork review: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/ed-sheeran-subtract/ I'm actually surprised they reviewed, thought they were gonna pass
May 11, 20232 yr Author Oh Pitchfork wouldn’t miss up a chance to do a *hilarious* dunk on Ed, again.
May 11, 20232 yr I’ve deleted countless posts today from this thread due to them descending into personal attacks from all angles. If you feel strongly about a post someone makes then please use the report post function rather than engage in a needless battle. If anyone continues this behaviour then the posts will be deleted and I will increase warn levels. No matter which side you are on, there is no need to be making public posts about other members. If it isn’t about Ed Sheeran or the album then probably best not to post it.
May 11, 20232 yr Author That might be happening pretty soon! Apparently a remix of ‘Life Goes On’ feat. Luke Combs will release at some point.
