November 22, 20223 yr I really resent Michael Buble, Bobby Helms and Brenda Lee especially as the latter 2 were hardly ever played when younger (remember the Mel and Kim version of 'Rockin around the Christmas tree') and seemed to have arrived purely because of Spotify US focused playlists.
November 22, 20223 yr Tbf the Bobby Helms song does also have quite a large presence in Home Alone 2, that’s always been a Christmas classic for me because of that.
November 22, 20223 yr Brenda Lee has re-charted in the top 100 every year since 2007 as well (except 2010) so that's not solely because of Americanised playlists though they have certainly accelerated its rise to being one of the top charters.

November 23, 20223 yr True although I do think the song is genuinely popular now as well. America still get a few songs that pop up on their chart yearly that don't chart in the UK too such as the original version of Holly Jolly Christmas
