I really resent Michael Buble, Bobby Helms and Brenda Lee especially as the latter 2 were hardly ever played when younger (remember the Mel and Kim version of 'Rockin around the Christmas tree') and seemed to have arrived purely because of Spotify US focused playlists.

Tbf the Bobby Helms song does also have quite a large presence in Home Alone 2, that’s always been a Christmas classic for me because of that.
Brenda Lee has re-charted in the top 100 every year since 2007 as well (except 2010) so that's not solely because of Americanised playlists though they have certainly accelerated its rise to being one of the top charters.

To be fair it is Brenda Lee’s song so it’s only really fair that she gets the bulk of its success :P

I thought that too, now that's a song I don't think I'd ever heard prior to the hijacking by playlists. It's a tune though so I'm not mad.

True although I do think the song is genuinely popular now as well.

America still get a few songs that pop up on their chart yearly that don't chart in the UK too such as the original version of Holly Jolly Christmas

Brenda Lee returned to prominence with Home Alone 1 as well but did chart well in 1962 so don’t mind that!

Didn’t Scott Mills help in this becoming popular?

Think Joseph out so midweek might be up bit later

All versions of Three Lions have been combined in the past so I assume any sales from the new one will be too.
