In honour of tonight's final!

This season has some of the strongest runway lewks imo, definitely better than season 3. The maxi challenges are what hold the season down here, especially the last couple ones. Still I'm pretty happy about the top 4. I would swap Jonbers Blonde for Dakota Schiffer but Jonbers Blonds has grown into the competition which is great to see. I think Danny Beard will win though I want to see Cheddar Gorgeous win.

For me I think Jonbers has had a better arc than Peppa who has just been downhill every week. I guess at least she's tried but it's disappointing the only challenge she even placed above Safe in was the one where all she had to do was put on clothes a designer made for her 🙃

 

That said I'd knock them both out of the top 4 in a heartbeat for Dakota & Baby

I'm happy with either Cheddar or Danny winning. My vote went to Cheddar, but I think Danny will win. Honestly I wouldn't mind a tie - especially if both slay the finale.

 

I would've liked Dakota and Le Fil in the final over Black Peppa and Jonbers. Dakota was unfairly eliminated/shouldn't have been bottom 2 the week she was. Le Fil was unfairly edited against and overlooked this season - with a better edit I could've easily have seen her get to the final. Black Peppa started off so strong but just kept faultering mid-late season :( Jonbers hadn't really managed a big break through moment - often being overshadowed by the likes of Danny or Cheddar; although she did do well in a number of challenges.

 

This season has been hands down the best UK season for runways. So many stunning/amazing runways with the general standard being so high. Even comparing to international/US versions of drag race the runways have been stellar (as UK version tends to be a step down compared to other countries/franchises usually).

 

Overall I'll give the season an 8. It's been really enjoyable for the most part and definitely prefer it to season 3. There hasn't been an obvious day 1 favourite who was going to win the season as well which was nice (Lawrence/Krystal). Although it's been pretty much a 2 horse race with Danny vs Cheddar. Reminds me a bit of US season 3 of Manila vs Raja. Had Dakota stayed, she could've been the dark horse and challenged the 2 of them (I'm pretty sure she would've done well in The Squirrel Games and surprised in the roast). A couple of the challenges could've been of better quality too.

 

One thing I do want to change for future UK seasons is for Ru to not host the snatch game. It's quite obvious he doesn't understand some of the pop culture references and his humour somewhat clashes with what british humour is.

 

 

I’m honestly team Jonbers just for the absolute gag it would be if she won and I love an underdog storyline. and really she’s also probably become my favourite of this top 4 even if it’s clear she’s not deserving of the win she’s just so likeable

I did vote in this yesterday so here are my thoughts. Both Danny & Cheddar being the final 2 was well deserved & both are some of the strongest contestants in Drag Race history, having 2 of the finalists winning 4 challenges each, don't think that's ever happened before. I would have been happy with either winning the season.

Out of the top 4 who deserves to be here obviously Danny & Cheddar deserves to be here, & actually glad that Black Peppa made it here as-well, I know she struggled with a lot of the challenges after week 1, but she slayed each of those lip-syncs and earned her spot in the final 4. While I do like Jonbers Blonde, I honestly don't think she deserved to make the top 4, no tea no shade, but she didn't win any of the challenges & spent quite a few weeks in the low/bottom positions. Although she did have a few great performances such as the Improv, Rusical, Snatch Game & the Roast challenges, especially the latter which only had 2 out of the final 5 giving decent performances. I'd have ranked Jonbers overall in the final 5 or 6.

Out of the eliminated queens Dakota Schiffer SHOULD have made the top 4 & didn't deserve her bottom and elimination on the Makeover challenge. The one-time Michelle Visage becomes the head judge, she made a complete balls up & the bottom 2 should have been Pixie & Jonbers with Pixie most likely getting the chop. Plus Dakota was the only other Queen (apart from Cheddar & Danny) to win more than 1 challenge.

My overall rating for this season is 7/10. The first half had an 8 rating, but the series kinda lost momentum for me with the makeover challenge & Dakota''s elimination.
