December 13, 20222 yr Author Sun Is Up is a right tune. I used to stan Inna at the time :wub:Â Yeah it is indeed. I think I preferred it to 'Hot' too personally!
December 14, 20222 yr Author Starting to finish of the #100's with 2 per post now as I'd be dragging this on forever x  2014 z0rxydSolwU 2015 VbfpW0pbvaU 'I Ain't Worried aside which won't be appearing in my EOY I've been a fan of OneRepublics music generally and this was a decent output. 'Stitches' which served as Shawn's first UK #1 was taking off towards the end of 2015 and so didn't quite manage it's full potential until 2016 where it appeared again in my EOY and in the top 10. It landed at 100 in my 2015 EOY though.
December 15, 20222 yr Author 2016  7YQ_UY11uMw 2017  fbHbTBP_u7U Busted thought they were on to something when they returned in 2016 and unfortunately it wasn't to be as it missed the whole top 40 whilst for 2017 we have rapper NF a 2nd rate Eminem with 'Let You Down' a big top 10 hit but for him he let down with any follow up hit!
December 16, 20222 yr Author and as I forgot that it was just a top 50 for 2018. The song at the opposite #50 2018  DSn8rW6thSo 2020 E--gBJSpiww So to finish off the bookend opposites of my EOY, 50 and 100 for 2018 and 2020 respectively are both BJSC Entries. Daniella Mason was Cor Lupus's Winning BJSC Entry that followed my only win back then in September of that year. Jai Wolf was sent by Rollo in 2020 and was a top 10 finish! December 16, 20222 yr Author Coming on Sunday I'll post a link of my ranking of EOY #1's from least fave and fave and a reflecting review to accompany them. This will then be followed by my EOY 200 which as stated will begin in 10 days time (Boxing Day)!
December 20, 20222 yr Author Robs EOY #1's Rank from least to best + reflective present day commentary! 13-11  pc0mxOXbWIU 9MHtrM-jf9o WvOnvyd8Zr0 So starting at the low end of my EOY #1's we have former Gnarls Barkley front man Cee Lo Green with his explicit #1 Smash 'f***/Forget You. It topped my chart in October 2010 and did the same officially too but on reflection holds up the least now as despite it sounding catchy and fun still, it is a bit of the times and that's why it is ranked as least favourite here. 'Jealousy' was perhaps Will Young's best single since 'Who Am I' for me and it topped my 2011 EOY but on reflection despite it being a stellar single I do look back thinking #1 was a bit too generous for it considering some of the other tracks that missed out. I think 3rd or something for it that year would feel more natural but again it did capture my attention in such a way during that summer. It's ironic that my only BJSC AQ up until yesterday features here considering I've just won BJSC again ensuring a definite AQ 4 years later *.* 'Connection Through Sound' is stunning and was hands down my favourite entry of mine in 2018 however compared to the others that are top 10 it was only going to get as far as it naturally would in the pecking order here. December 20, 20222 yr Author 10-7 AWpsOqh8q0M qQkBeOisNM0 ClU3fctbGls 60ItHLz5WEA Next ranking from 10 up to 7 and firstly we go to 2008 and it was Beyonce who topped my EOY with 'If I Were A Boy'. Released in October it charged to #1 and remained there for 7 weeks proving to be a big smash. It wasn't until the Sasha Fierce era came along that I become more of a fan of hers although I did buy DU in 2006 and 'Irreplaceable' was great too. Still holds up to today as well despite not being among many's faves of hers. 10 years ago Fun. released the song we all know and love 'We Are Young' which by the way did extremely well here too however it was their follow up 'Some Nights' that took the top song crown beating out stiff competition from Little Mix, Pink and others. I did listen to this about a month or so ago and it still sounds anthemic. Overall though the band who haven't released anything since 2014 wind up 9th fave EOY #1. Mentioned just a moment ago in the 2012 comment we now have Pink who 5 years ago returned after a few years to provide us with this meaningful single 'What About Us'. The album it's taken from was superb too. Going back a year prior we had one hit wonder Alan Walker with his piano leading dance track 'Faded'. It's ironic that I mention this one as it is today's Heardle track as well. Alan places 7th in my overall #1's ranking but everything within my 9-4 could easily be moved around, tough to order! December 20, 20222 yr Author 6-4 0CGVgAYJyjk YqeW9_5kURI IcrbM1l_BoI 6th overall is 'Grace Kelly', topping my EOY in 2007 and was Mika's debut single. He had a massive first era which he never managed to carry on with as the next album wasn't really up to much really. Hosting Eurovision this year was a cool time for him as well and including it in his medley reminds me of how it's such a insanely great pop song. 5th is Major Lazer and 'Lean On' with vocal feature from MO of course. A massive banger from 2015 and slots nicely into 5th in my rank. The late Avicii with 'Wake Me Up' is no.4. The song admittedly sounds very poignant nowadays because of saddening circumstances and it always was and is a bright light in his discography for me and of course evidently shown by being a mammoth #1 both in my EOY in 2013 and the official chart where it became his 2nd and final UK #1! December 21, 20222 yr Author 3-1  aS1no1myeTM m-M1AtrxztU xPYFh0RepNM and so we reach the 3 best EOY #1's for me now with the most recent dropping out in 'Midnight Sky' by Miley Cyrus. A trumendous song and is just fantastic imo. Having said that because of it's recentness it hasn't been able to crack top 2 here and would you believe it, it's 'Rather Be' that is my 2nd favourite EOY #1 overall :o despite those 64 weeks in my personal chart :o I do love it a lot still but ngl I did overdo it with that length cause of wanted a drastically large record :kink: it probably would've still managed a year regardless. Jess herself has soured on me for many years now as well so perhaps that cost Clean Bandit my overall favourite?  We..lllll not really as even they can't get past the incredible 'Release Me' by Swedish singer Agnes. The song spent 6 weeks atop my official chart and some 30+ weeks in my top 40, yes I know it's almost half of RB but there's something so timeless about it and listening to it now even it holds up spectacularly well. I was astonished at it becoming a big UK top 3 hit as well. Following and commenting on the week it charted in here was one of the best chart times for me. It absolutely deserves it crown for my fave EOY #1 ever!  and with that now done that now leads towards my Official End of Year Top 200 which will start in 5 days time. I'm going to post one more weekly chart on the day so some last minute shufflings and advances will no doubt be on the cards! See you on the 26th (Boxing Day), not sure what sort of time yet but I think I could head for early evening perhaps! December 21, 20222 yr Author loving this concept rob! and all the songs in here are brilliant! Thanks Conor, yeah thought it was fitting with it being 15 years since my first EOY being posted lol. A nice little concept before this years begins!
December 22, 20222 yr Cruel Summer remains a great BJSC entry and one which I didn't mind winning at all! Glad you're still very much a fan of Grace Kelly and Wake Me Up!

December 24, 20222 yr Lean On and Midnight Sky are easily my faves from that bunch  I think Lean On was a #1 for me back in the day and Midnight Sky was a huge #2 hit on my chart
