Didn't 'Stop The Calvary' make top 40 last year? Mind you I wouldn't complain at it making it again this year. Those other two are great too and a shame 'Christmas Wrapping' never gets much of a look in. The Darkness I'd add to what with rock semi doing well chart wise this year.

I wouldn’t mind if that re-entered and I checked and it re-entered on NYE at #34 for just one week. I am hoping to see the Waitresses enter for the first time and I also like to see AAOC by Darlene Love re-enter. I’m surprised that never re-enters seeing as it’s used quite notably in Xmas films such as Home Alone 2 and Love Actually

Damn how has Raye fell :(

Saturday's streaming has been added which is very much in favour of the Christmas songs. Sunday's still has to be added so RAYE could well drop further in the next update but could see her recovering a bit by the end of the week.

Mariah's further ahead than I expected after yesterday though!

Oh Taylor could return to #1 on albums I think

Singles tho I think that initial prediction of 300 units made it seem way closer than what it it, Mariah or Ed/Elton are taking it imo

Come on Mariah! :cheer: I would be happy for All I Want for Christmas Is You to get another week at #1. I know it's extremely omnipresent and I appreciate that many people are tiring of its presence, but it's "only" spent 2 weeks at #1 so far, so it's not totally dominated in that sense. From a chart stats point of view I think it would be interesting for it to be have two separate runs at #1, two years apart (i.e. 2020 and potentially 2022).

The albums chart could end up being a bit of a battle! I don't think that lead is as comfortable as it needs to be for Olly to hold on. I guess we'll see if his flash sale has an impact.

Wow so we’re looking at a Christmas song almost certainly being number 1 in early December!

Did we have a Christmas number 1 this time last year or are they just taking off extra quickly this year?

Disappointed to see Lewis plummet down to #18, but his best chance should be in January when it will hopefully take off and get a shot at #1

so that Stormzy track no one actually likes is heading for #1 soon :hithead: :hithead: maybe time to stop letting these Amazon exclusive tracks count towards the chart (the OCC aren't ready for that level of logical thinking though)

PinkPantheress sneaking into the midweek chart is a nice surprise, didn't realise this one had been getting some traction on Tiktok beforehand

Olly Murs' sales seem a bit low by his standards but i imagine he'll stay at #1 regardless

I’m pushing for Mariah to be number one! As Wham! will probably get it next week

On a website like statsforspotify I have loads of Christmas songs in my top played but on my “on repeat” on Spotify, it never shows them. Not just this year either. Anyone know why?
Of course it’s when a Buzzjack fave like Raye gets denied a #1 everyone is suddenly anti-Xmas lol

I don't think this is "suddenly" somehow.

Anyway, I'm so here for 'Undermeath the Tree' getting a new peak..I hope to see it go top 10 one day!

I wonder if LB will release something next week? I hope they do and make it 5 Xmas #1s

oh wow Olly is on half of what I expected

the singles chart is like every December Alexa reporting exaggerated unbelievable streams for Amazon, like suddenly Amazon has bigger streams than Spotify, if the OCC believes that...

Olly's last album sold 35,622 in week 1 so expecting him to be on 25-30k today wasn't realistic at all IMO. He doesn't have a gigantic number of formats, the market's declined in the last 4 years and he's had even less singles success than he had last time.

Wouldn't mind Olly going to #1

There were some definite review bombers when I looked on itunes (obvious they hadnt listened to the album and just wanted to bash Olly)

Saying that, the drop next week will be maaaaassive

I think it’ll be Mariah this week, Wham next week, LadBaby the week after (if they decide to release that is), and then Wham again.
