This track is really nice. I get that it's about a touchy subject but it's good nonetheless and quite a good follow up single. It's a shame she never released a proper video for it though. Could have been amazing.

Believe it or not, to start off it's run that counts toward the 2023 EOY, this song has actually climbed into the top 5 and reached a new peak. I wasn't too keen on Western Wind and then this didn't really do too much for me at first but it's really good. In loving how unique it sounds in Carly's Discography.

I absolutely loved this at the time. I can't remember why it had such a big fall the week after leaking but it's honestly good. I have said before though that I feel that Becky Hill has worn out this sound of music though that's where she's made her career so I can't see her sound changing too much for her next era.

Light Switch, Cate's Brother, Anti-Hero, Beach House, HISTORY and All These Nights are my favourites from the last few batches!

Deep Down took a while to grow on me but it really is an earworm! A really fun dance track, I'd have loved it to crack the Top 40 but sadly it wasn't to be.

Beach House and Deep Down are my favourites from those last few! Beach House is easily my least fave single from The Loneliest Time (and ranks below a fair few album tracks too) but it's fun and a bop. One of my housemates wouldn't stop playing Deep Down over the summer so that reminds me of good times (and defrosting our freezer when it broke :lol:)

THIS :clap: IS :clap: A :clap: BOP!! :clap: and what a bop it is. A great use of an older sample from a fantastic song! Completely unexpected as well. Once I got bored of it though, it flew out my chart as quickly as it climbed into the top 10.

I Absolutely adored this in release though it took a while to gather enough momentum on my chart to reach the top 40. It really reminded me of Lonely Town when Brandon Flowers was doing his solo stuff though not quite hitting the highs if that song for me.

A drop from the top 5 to the higher end of the top 30 seemed quite common for me this year. A great result regardless though. Spending 12 weeks on the chart was good for this song I wish it had marked a proper return for Nicole Scherzinger. She had some amazing bops back in the day and I'd love for her to release stuff like that again.

What a fantastic song and one of the surprise highlights for me last year. Saying that, 11 weeks doesn't look like much but with a peak of #5 and three weeks top 10, it did well. It's descent down my chart was quite a slow one as well. I'd welcome both of these artists combing again to give us another bop!

I can see what they tried to do here. To give us another Take My Breath Away sized hit but alas, it wasn't to be. The movie itself was a massive success but unlike with the first movie, it wasn't because of the song. You could argue the song became so big for the first movie that it was intrinsically linked to the movie, thus people turned up in droves to see it. The same would apply to Titanic but for this song, it didn't affect the movie whatsoever and in fact the song only performed moderately well worldwide which is still surprising given Lady Gaga's worldwide fame.

At one point in sure I was proclaiming this to be Ella Henderson's best song in her discography, usurping Ghost in the process but looking back now, I can say it's in a safe second place, behind ghost. It's dancey like her usual music but the strings are a nice touch. Much better than almost everything she's released.
