December 22, 20222 yr Author #11: Only Honest On The Weekend - Becky Hill [Deluxe Version] Only Honest On The Weekend was one of the biggest albums of 2021, claiming several huge hits including a #1 with My Heart Goes. This year, Becky swiftly kicked off the year with #9 peaking single Run, as well as dance collabs with Wilkinson, David Guetta and Joel Corry, most of which featured on the deluxe edition of the album. She got another #1 with 'Crazy What Love Can Do' plus deluxe album track 'Personally' became a big hit peaking at #4 pushing the albums points upwards! Deluxe additions will be highlighted. December 23, 20222 yr Author #10: CRASH - Charli XCX Charli's first UK #1 album also had a good impact over on my chart. Lead Single good ones came out last summer, and despite its #4 peak it was overshadowed by Charli's collab with Joel Corry, Jax Jones & Saweetie. She had better success with early 2022 Rina Sawayama collab Beg For You, which peaked at #8. It also kick-started Rina Sawayama's successful year on the chart as well! The album had moderate single chart success with a further 7 songs charting from it, including a decent sized hit in deluxe track What You Think About Me and post-album top 10 Used To Know Me propelling it into the EOY top 10! Looking forward to more from Charli next year, and spoiler alert, Rina's album is still to come! December 23, 20222 yr Author #9: Humble Quest - Maren Morris Maren is an artist who has been on my radar for a few years after her song The Middle was one of my top songs of all time. She kicked off the year in January with a fun country bop Circles Around This Town which became her first top 10. Promo single Background Music also charted at #30, but it was follow up single Nervous that carried. #2 peaking and several weeks in the top 5 its one of the top songs of the year and deservedly so. When the album dropped she followed it with 2 more top 10's, Tall Guys and title track Humble Quest! December 23, 20222 yr CRASH  such a good album! My favourite from Charli in fact *.* Humble Quest was a good listen IIRC, it's been a while since I played it but Circles Around This Town is one of my favourite Maren tracks!

My favourite from Charli in fact *.* Humble Quest was a good listen IIRC, it's been a while since I played it but Circles Around This Town is one of my favourite Maren tracks! thanks joseph! I agree its charli's best. and i agree, circles is one of her best! its so fun!
December 23, 20222 yr Author #8: Hold The Girl - Rina Sawayama Prior to this year, Rina was an artist I had heard of less than five times and was completely off my radar. WHen she hopped on Charli XCX's Beg For You I became more aware of her and decided to keep an eye out on her new releases. And lo and behold, it worked, I fell in love! Hold The Girl was a slow burner spending several weeks in the lower regions of the charts before climbing to #7, Catch Me In The Air only made #31 and then an album bomb cut its life short, though it did improve on that peak in album release week. Title Track became Rina's biggest hit though, climbing and hovering just outside the top 10 for weeks, and then the album dropped and it climbed all the way to #2! The album spent a month at the top of my albums chart and carried a few more top 10s including the gorgeous heartbreaking Send My Love To John and has cemented Rina as a popstar in my eyes! I look forward to what she comes out with in 2023! Its a very close battle at the top, who knows!
December 23, 20222 yr Author #7: About Last Night... - Mabel Mabel kicked off her sophmore album era back in summer '21 with Let Them Know becoming her first #1, and by the time the album came out she had a string of hits from it. And when the album came out album track Defintition became her 2nd chart topper! It was a busy week as she released at the same time as Sabrina Carpenter's album which also did very well, and the two albums took turns atop both the singles & albums charts. With 6 top 10s from it it is a very successful album and generally a stronger more cohesive album than her debut, though the singles from High Expectations are all top notch, the album itself is a bit too much filler. About Last Night... is cohesive and tells a brilliant story, with some fun bops and a joyous mood! December 23, 20222 yr Not really liked much of Mabel's stuff since 'Finders Keepers' oops. 'Don't Call Me Up' was ok I guess too. Some of these albums I'd like to check out but not enough single releases impressing me to want to do that with haha.

December 23, 20222 yr Author And the final one until after Christmas! #6: Familia - Camila Cabello It seems like plenty of albums released this year started their eras last year, Mabel, Sabrina, Camila, Tate! Camila kicked off this era with the summery Don't Go Yet which peaked at #3. Then next single Bam Bam became the big one. featuring Ed Sheeran, It spent 3 non-consecutive weeks atop the chart during March and April and spent 18 weeks on chart! The album followed shortly giving a further 3 top 10s, and although there are a few skips on the album (cough *Lola* cough), overall, its a fun, summery album!
