The first semi-final sees Argentina take on Croatia who appear in their second successive World Cup semi-final in Lusail. Both teams needed penalties to qualify for the semi-final. Argentina prevailed in the 'Battle of Lusail' which had a record-breaking 18 yellow cards. Croatia caused a shock and beat Brazil on penalties. These teams met at the group stage in 2018 where Croatia beat Argentina 3-0?

I can't even call it but the bookies say Argentina so Arg. 2 Croatia 1.

Argentina must win this in 90m. If it goes to ET, Croatia have it in the bag.

A quite dull first half becomes very exciting in the last 10 minutes with Argentina scoring two goals!

3-0 Argentina! Some great skill there.

They've properly turned it on tonight, outstanding stuff.

Croatia were never really in it tonight. We'll see how tomorrow goes but it might be an advantage for them not having to play any extra time and having it largely comfortable for 45 mins.
