Aren't the reason these two hate each other so much is that they're exactly the same. They both release shit songs to try bring publicity to themselves, they both think a joke is using an inappropriate in a song title (whether it be Kunt or Sausage roll) and both willing to lie about it to sell more copies. "Buying our song is the best way to donate to the charity", "Buying our song is the best way to stop them".

 

The only difference being The Kunts are profiting directly from sales, and Ladbaby from the promotion with the by product of 300k gone to charity (not a great return if 600k has been spent on buying the songs)

 

In an ideal world this year would be the last time we see either of them on the charts.

I suppose people just know their audiences. Eventually it wears off in the end, but let's be honest - the charts is a former shadow of itself now and 2022 has been the worst year musically in my eyes.

Thankfully music extends beyond what’s been in the charts, I don’t think there ever can be a “bad” year for all of music really.

Couldn’t agree more - as a fan of music I want decent music to top the charts which for me is neither of those (though of the two LadBaby is the more talentless). I really couldn’t care less about either of their politics; they’re both rubbish.

One of the Kunts’ songs is That’s Why I Voted Brexit so I’m not sure they’re the go to choice for remainers anyway haha.

I reckon Kunt would have more integrity than LadBaby - what a sentence to write that is...but yeah, I think if it comes to Thursday and The Kunts are completely out of it, then he'd tell people to download Wham/Mariah/Sidemen whoever. But I still fancy them to have a shot at it, so he'd be mad to write his band off so early in the game! Whereas even if LadBaby had a lead of 50k, they'd be begging for downloads and saying "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" when they are number 1 AGAIN.

I mean, Kunt does. He's been writing and performing songs for 20 years, touring his own shows, playing hundreds of gigs, releasing a ton of CDs. In fact, his original Boris song was released on a punk album in July of 2020, so it wasn't even intended for a chart campaign. But the Christmas chart battle is the only time where people pay attention.

 

LadBaby meanwhile does nothing musically apart from his dull songs each year. He has had 4 number 1s, but never played a gig. That is absurd.
