December 17, 20223 yr If only it was a three way race between those... I'd love The Kunts to get #1, it would send a far more powerful message than the half hearted Ladbaby effort. Aside from it being an awkward (at best, disgusting and crass at worst) choice of cover version, it doesn't go anywhere near far enough to challenge the cause of the problem. Don't come around singing about sausage rolls and hunger as though it has just happened for magical reasons, you need to address the reasons it has happened in the first place

There's an extension you can download to see them x It may not indicate a lot, but I do feel the backlash is much stronger to this, I've not seen much positive said about it and this saviour complex has resulted in a bit of a mask slip moment. I'm still expecting it to get there, but I'd be very surprised if there isn't a significant dip in last year's total. I like that the Kunts are really going for it and I really hope they do (the first number 1 ever that won't even be said live *.*) but I just think there's too much apathy for it to make a difference, not to mention media coverage will be slim and negative in their direction.
December 18, 20223 yr Out of the leading contenders, sonically I would want Mariah for sure to get that Number 1. But the message of The Kunts resonates a great deal and given the times we are in would be good to see. So if either of them end up as Xmas Number 1 I'd be happy tbh.

December 18, 20223 yr Sidemen are raising money for FareShare. I just think they have a more rounded chance with streams, YouTube and downloads. It’s not cheesy and the EDM version slaps.
