Hasn't Morter run enough campaigns now to be trying to unify everyone behind one song, ideally the closest competition? And to know getting streams involved is almost completely futile and these things work best on downloads.

 

Interestingly, he was actually part of a campaign to get Last Christmas to number one back in 2017. I genuinely think a campaign to get either Wham or Mariah would have been far more viable this year if they hadn't both already topped the charts. Maybe The Pogues have a shot next year?

Ah man, that's a shame. I have a ton of respect for Kunt giving him a credit - he's clearly just a fan of Terry's work, so wants to give him a long overdue hit. I respect it even more considering LadBaby didn't even credit Martin Lewis on the single in any form, despite using his name to promote it.

Based on today's update, Ladbaby has got the #1 in the bag and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves. I had money on Wham! at 50/1 so I'm doubly gutted. The biggest two days for Xmas streams will be Saturday and Sunday so I fully expect 'Last Christmas' to be #1 the following week but sadly it's just out of reach for it this week.
