Really sad to see Maxi Jazz from Faithless has died. No doubt we’ll see some classics return.

Oh no :( RIP. 2 big losses from the music world in the last few days after Terry Hall.

LadBaby always stays #1 for a little while after Friday and people always think it'll hold up better than it actually does as a result. They'll be low top 100 at best.

Remind me - what do we know about the iTunes algorithm? The only algorithm I believe I have cracked so far is Apple Music where I believe they count the number of streams in the past 24 hours.

I believe Amazon downloads give credit to both songs with high downloads over a long period, and those with a sudden increase. Those with a sudden increase climb fast, then slump fast. But tracks like LadBaby stay high in the chart, even once nobody is downloading them anymore. But how does iTunes work, roughly?

I actually think it probably will be 1-OUT, even if it’s the biggest seller of the week.

It will be 1-OUT surely with the lower sales this year. The first #1 record ever to spend only a single week on the charts if it does (we all know it's never going to trouble the top 100 again).

Shows how pitiful it all was.

Not sure we’ve ever known for sure but must be something a 24 or 48 hour rolling window, but I suspect the weighting on more recent data is much higher than on less recent.

i don't know which result would make me happier, a 1-out for ladbaby or 1-hugedroptolowtop100
