I don’t think Forever hitting #1 would’ve changed a lot but #2 didn’t help either..also, the dynamics within the SG changed and it showed publicly. Combined with the change to a more ‘cool rnb’ sound..

 

Steps stuck to their formula and the tension wasn’t that visible or the nearing exit of some members.

Happy New Year to you all, i hope we are all in for a good 2025.

On the Steps front it looks like it will be a quiet year although we will get Claires third solo album which will something to keep us ticking over, not sure if we will get much else but hopefully at some stage in 2025 we might get some news that Steps will be getting together to start work on a future studio album.

Hopefully! And the tour of the musical so we got something coming.

Steps forum was 7th in year end artist forum chart for 2024.

Not bad considering how quiet things are on the steps front.

Usually this time of year there does be some speculation about steps and eurovision but see nothing this year although I do think Clare with a big ballad could do OK and solo wise it wouldn't do any harm to her solo career.

I would say go for it Claire but I doubt it will happen.

Would be nice but I think there’s too much of a risk? She has her niche audience so why bother?

Her niche audience would continue to support her, if she did it and did well it would be great for her.

I’m not sure how she would do at ESC though?

I believe she would have the potential to get a very respectable result.

If she had a good ballad i dont see why she wouldnt do fairly well as vocally we know she would nail it.

As Faye has not gone down the solo music avenue Eurovision may be less of a risk for her and she has the vocal ability for the big stage.

That would also be very interesting, if either had the right song i think they could do alright, unfortunately i cant see either of them doing it but out of the 2 and i dont know why i think there would be more of a chance of Claire trying it out.
