Id say Faye, Lisa and Lee had a hard enough time when they initially split due to not just the shock of splitting but the fact Claire and H has signed a new deal as a duo, from that article it seems to had hit Faye the hardest.

Yeah I can see that really bothering them leaving to become a duo, then actually achieving a few decent chart placements too as well as the CD:UK job.

I think this is why their comeback was a success!

It helped the comeback didn't happen quickly they took a long time working on sorting out their differences which led to them genuinely liking each other again.

I wish they'd do a box set of CD singles from the What the Future Holds/What the Future Holds Pt. 2 era. I think they must have known that it was a much requested item but it seems it wasn't something they or the label were interested in doing, despite Steps seeing first hand how successful this concept was for Tears on the Dancefloor. So that's a bit frustrating.

 

They could have charged quite a lot for this...

Yeah it's a real shame they didn't do it tbh especially after they sold out of the Tears boxset!

Honestly, I think they have a brilliant management/label team… for literally everything bar how they handle the singles. They seem to resign themselves to treating the singles as purely being for the purpose of selling albums. Not even allow themselves to try to give a more specific push to the singles by having physicals available.
