Omg, my Spotify chart is unforunately still stuck but incredible that Miley is #1 with 542k and the fact that's a second day growth is a positive sign as well. The song is growing on me with repeat listens and i'm so pleased for her. :wub:

 

While I love Escapism and would be happy for it to have a second week at #1, at least it's got there now, happy for Miley to get there now and a quick turnover at #1 is nice to see. That's not to say she has it in the bag though, will have to see what happens throughout the week.

 

Also poor SZA bound never to reach that #2 she was promised in the Week 1 midweeks.

I think Miley’s video streams will help her a lot too. The video is on around 25m overall atm so I think it’ll be close between her and all of RAYE’s versions when they’re combined. Gonna be an interesting battle I think.

Oops at Sam Smith, maybe too early to say but the indication at this stage is that Unholy was less of a career revival and more of a viral one-off. I find Gimme pretty annoying personally. Interested to see how their album does, particularly the Ed collab.

 

Encouraging to see Bizarrap/Shakira still on the climb, hopefully a top 75 debut beckons. Very good for Miley to be increasing on the second day too!

That's really what I expected for Sam Smith. I think people have being overestimated what their album will do as well based on the Unholy success but we'll see.

I think 'Gimme' is more of a promo track than a single, I'm under the impression 'Lose You' is their next official single so that'd probably be more of a like-for-like comparison.
