confirmed with an absolute beauty which kind-of samples a 90s classique

I see that it had made someone's personal chart a few months back from researching the forum but I had discovered it elsewhere this week !

It made my (unpublished) personal chart/playlist too - excellent pick

:w00t: can't wait to be vetoed :w00t: /j

Finally decided which song to enter this month, sorry Bre was going to listen to the album again but the contest came around quicker than I was expecting. Weird to type those words with spaces between ^_^
Omg but the galaxy brain of you being banned is that you can return in BJSC 152 so worth it tbh
No pressure tho x

This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.

Tensnake - How Will I Know 18

- artist came 18th in BJSC 54, 30th in BJSC 58, DNQed in BJSC 63 & came 18th (as remixer) in BJSC 148 3+5

- artist had a UK #85 hit in 2010 with 'Coma Cat'; also had a UK #88 album in 2014

- appeared in 4 personal charts, 2 of which are BJSC participants (AH Gold, Daan)

- samples Whitney Houston's song of the same name 10

- low level blog coverage

Saint Levant - Very Few Friends 5

- currently #188 on the global Spotify chart (new entry today); #98 on UK Spotify & also charting in Spotify charts of several other countries highlighted in the framework (#115 in Canada, #83 in Denmark, #188 in Norway & #166 in Sweden) and many more primarily in Europe 5

- appeared in 1 personal chart, not a BJSC participant

- low to mid level blog coverage

- *mod discretion*: rising global viral hit, has a reasonable likelihood of becoming a UK hit in the near future

Leah Kate - My Bed 10

- artist had a UK #30 hit last year with '10 Things I Hate About You'

- appeared in 2 personal charts, 1 of which is a current BJSC participant (Ultra)

- samples Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' 10

- negligible blog coverage

- why does this exist

- *mod discretion*: felt that the sample was 1) extremely well known, 2) the song doesn't use it in a particularly different way, just changes the lyrics to the same tune, 3) these coupled together with a top 40 artist who is still very present in online discussions.)

LE SSERAFIM - ANTIFRAGILE 25

- currently #59 on the global Spotify chart (peaked at #50) 25; charted at #2 in South Kora & #96 in Canada / charted in several Spotify charts of countries highlighted in the framework (peaked at #18 in Japan (currently #21) and #1 in South Korea (currently #4), previously peaked at #105 in Australia, #58 in Canada, #161 in New Zealand & #141 in the USA but no longer charting) and many more primarily in Asia

- mid level blog coverage for song and parent EP

Expect ANTIFRAGILE not to make the cut since it is a HUGE K-Pop hit, but a mild bop regardless x
(the 'why does this exist' comment under Leah Kate was just me being a bit silly as I sometimes am with my writeups, probably should have edited that out ddd but tbh it is true :kink: xx)
saint levant would've gotten points from me solely for being very hot

literally same

(I considered sending it too but didn't, nice to see a partially foreign language song doing well in the UK at least)

I don’t know much about Leah Kate, but there was that single Twinkle Twinkle that put me off her, maybe this other song would have been an improvement. I wouldn’t have minded a Kylie sample plus there’s been Kylie samples before if I recall Kluminican Republic got away with sending a foreign version of In Your Eyes last year iirc?
I have an absolutely brilliant entry lined up that you probably would not expect from Rd’Á

This^ was Saint Levant.

And I am still quite annoyed rn

I actually didn't vote to veto Leah Kate anyway (other than wishing to vote to veto it from being a song that exists) but for what it's worth the Klum Rep song was a) a much more obscure artist and release, b) not in English and c) sampling a (slightly) less omnipresent song from Kylie.

Also it DNQed anyway so it wasn't really worth getting through!

anti ti ti ti fragile fragile :cheeseblock:

that would be an iconic entry, whoever sent it has taste *.*

finally I’m not alone in the “for sure gonna DNQ” club!
