So, we often buy an artist’s latest release but sometimes we spot a deal on something from a previous era that catches our eye or is on special offer.

So, what are your latest purchases that can be considered retro?

I’ll start, I’ve just added Louise’s Heavy Love vinyl to my Greatest Hits order so that’ll be nice to have!
It's been a long time since I've purchased any old release oops (that isn't given to me as a present) but I could buy something old next time I head into town or ASDA even!
I bought Alanis-Jagged Little Pill on vinyl cos it was on sale the other day and I actually only had bought it on cassette back in the day
I bought Amy MacDonald's This Is The Life on vinyl the other day. I still ADORE this album, particularly the singles and Barrowland Ballroom, and it was £20 in HMV for a special 10" record.
The last one I remember buying is The 411’s album. It was never released here and I loved On Knees and Dumb.

One of my favourite albums and apparently rumoured to be getting a vinyl re-release soon!

That’s great news!

I loved On My Knees and Dumb, even had the album pre ordered at my local HMV only for its release here to be canceled. Couldn’t afford to pay the import price back then so just had to go with out.

Kesha - High Road on vinyl - arriving tomorrow!
I also last week got the Plastic Pop re-releases of Sophie Ellis-Bextor's first four albums, with all the bonus tracks from each era. Nothing is new to me, but it's nice to have them all in one place, plus Make A Scene has the full version of Dear Jimmy, which was only ever released in mixed form before on a Popjustice compilation in 2006!

If they were a little bit cheaper, I would get them too!

I would love for Sophie to finally put Dear Jimmy on streaming. It’s long overdue.

Lizzo’s debut EP arrived yesterday so that’s exciting!
The most-recent full-price I bought was a triple CD of classic Sparks tracks covering 50 years of pure class. And it still had great stuff omitted.
