Tbf most big singles from well established artists spend ages at #1 these days (once they actually get there). So the challenge these days is just getting to #1 initially, once you're there you're basically set for a long stint.

June 2, 20232 yr Can you believe how well this has done in UK I expected number one but not for this long!! Since the inclusion of streaming, the official singles charts have become a bit of a joke. Not to repeat the obvious but when your song is popular its added to the bigger playlists and then it becomes self-fulfilling that it remains popular whether people go out their way to listen to it or not.
