"Lost" performed 10x better than "She Couldn't". :o

oh my PinkPantheress over 500K combined is incredible

poor Pink another massive drop after the payola has dried up

139 78 P!nk – TRUSTFALL (down 61 places)

also very interesting top 5 in the US, with PinkPantheress #1 when combined and two country songs reaching the top 5

1 Pinkpantheress (combined)

2 SZA

3 Miley

4 Morgan Wallen

5 Luke Combs

That Lovejoy song is a TikTok thing right? I loved it on first listen. :D

I don’t think so! They have quite a viral following (the lead singer is a Minecraft streamer), but I don’t thing the song itself has blown up on there.

Think the guy is a youtuber, the lead singer of Lovejoy I mean

the song is new, don't think it's tiktok related

I'm hoping the drop was bigger than usual due to new entries/weekend effect. :(

Happy to see Paramore's album charting quite a lot on spotify! And pleasantly surprised at the Linkin Park song being so high! :o RIP Chester. :(

Flowers is down to 622k on Friday already... seems it's not that huge in the long run than I thought.

What a really odd thing to say? Those figures are astounding for a song that's in its 5th week of release

Apart from a few questionable lyrics as ever - the Central Cee song is one of his best imo.

Think I’m one of the few if any people on here that like him…I’ve had his new one on repeat since it was released, hope it can do well

I didn't say they are not astounding, it's just that it dropped 23% in sales week-on-week and is actually in danger of losing the #1 spot to something fairly soon, PinkPantheress or someone else. And I really thought it'd have at least 9-10 weeks at #1 which might not be the case.

Kworb shows -2,429,041 globally compared to previous Thursday. It's still doing very well, but the decline is also fairly steep right now, steeper than for the Bizarrap & Shakira track for instance.

The whole thing reminds me a bit of "drivers license" so I made a graph of their Spotify performance, up to Olivia's last week at #1

I reckon long running #1's in the streaming era still thrive on the discovery element but in cases like this where they start off so strongly, that discovery just can't keep up. It's possible "Flowers" could rebound from this, but there's precedent for this to 'only' be the 3rd biggest hit of the year.

Interesting graph, thanks! I wonder if Miley will get much of a boost on album release then (Olivia's album released quite late into "Driver's Licence"'s chart run vs when Miley will release hers).

I’d been thinking Flowers’ trajectory was similar to Drivers License so thanks for confirming that. A huge hit still but definitely not a Bad Habits / Blinding Lights behemoth.

If Miley has another pre-album single then she might get an even bigger hit than Flowers like Olivia did when she released Good 4 U.

But yeah, the odds of Flowers being the year-end #1 seem a lot lower now. I was a bit shocked when I looked at the Spotify figures a few days ago and she was on 5??,000 because it seems like yesterday when she was at 1 million.

To be fair though she gets a large amount of streams outside of spotify.

She did 74,962 streaming sales last week whilst doing 4,431,403 streams on spotify. Assuming ~50% of spotify users are premium and ~50% are free. That translates to to ~26,000 stream sales from spotify, which is ~35% of her streaming sales. She's getting much stronger views/streams from youtube in particular compared to Olivia ("Flowers" is almost at 200 million mark and still doing 4-5 million views/day globally - ~350k/day from the UK).

On week 4 Olivia did 69,310 sales for a total of 367,061 vs Miley doing 81,435 for a total of 400,875.

"Flowers" is also going to benefit from the release of the album earlier in its chart run.

These differences will likely add up quite a bit come the end of the year. So I think Miley has a stronger chance of being the year end #1 compared to Olivia. Although I believe Ed is releasing another album this year so we'll see!
