December 6, 20231 yr Author Pre 2022 releases in the 41-100 range: 41 Riptide 513k Heat waves Everywhere Viva la vida Everybody wants to rule the world Dreams Save your tears Under the influence Seventeen going under Blinding lights Iris Dog days are over Do I wanna know? Take me to church Cold heart Perfect Go Wonderwall 505 Yellow Sweater weather Someone like you I wanna be yours Go your own way Summertime sadness Starboy I’m still standing Summer of ‘69 Style Remember Left the Top 100 in November: Lavender haze Rush
December 6, 20231 yr Author I expect the following to enter the Top 100 in December: Baddadan Greedy Last Christmas All I want for Christmas is you Rocking around the Christmas tree And Fairytale of New York could make it this year. Everything currently in the Top 100 should survive apart from the following which are looking vulnerable: 87 I’ll be waiting 89 Whistle 95 Style 96 Late night talking 97 Trustfall 98 If we ever broke up 99 Remember 100 0800 heaven Cuff it, Pointless and BOTA will be replaced in the Top 40 by Prada, Last Christmas and AIWFCIY, and I think #40 could be close between Riptide and Until I found you.
December 6, 20231 yr Author Is this the biggest year for Riptide? #34 in 2014 when it actually charted but biggest since then.
December 6, 20231 yr Would be a shame if 'Until I Found You' gets knocked out the top 40 when it's been staying around the low 30's for the majority of the year :( Another low top 10 hit in '0800..' not going to make it. Not that that's a huge loss necessarily for me but should still be represented in some way!
December 6, 20231 yr Author 0800 Heaven could still make it as it’s currently out-streaming all of #95-99 ahead. Of the ones I listed that has one of the better chances of holding on. Estimated total / last week sales: I’ll be waiting 390k +3.5k Whistle 389k +3.5k Style 386k +5.5k Late night talking 385k +4.5k Trustfall 384k +4k If we ever broke up 384k +3k Remember 382k +6k 0800 heaven 381k +7k So in 4 weeks 0800 heaven could have overtaken all the others even though it will have been overtaken by a bunch of songs itself. December 6, 20231 yr Second time in a few years then that Pink drops out due to catalogue streams. These EOY charts are such a redundant joke.
December 6, 20231 yr Trustfall actually doesn’t as big to me as some of these that look likely to drop out (or already have) - Padam Padam, 0800 Heaven, If We Ever Broke Up etc which all felt unavoidable at a point. I do agree that it’s depressing looking at that number of older songs in the top 100 though and doesn’t feel representative of the year.
December 7, 20231 yr Shame that 'What I Was Made For?' not going to make EOY top 40 but great that the similar style 'Ceilings' will hang on especially as it's very much been out of the weekly top 100 for months.
December 12, 20231 yr Author There’s a real WTF new entry in the YTD Top 100 this week - any guesses?
December 12, 20231 yr has The Night We Met bubbled under for long enough to make it? or just some random catalogue Eminem, Kanye or Arctics song
December 12, 20231 yr Author Nothing suggested so far. It’s an 00s song. I don’t recall seeing it in the Audio Streaming chart recently so it really does feel random to me. I don’t think it’s been in a streaming era year end Too 100 before.
December 12, 20231 yr Author Sex on Fire? Yep. I see it took less than 2 years to go from 4x Platinum to 5x Platinum so it obviously always streams well but that really wasn’t on my radar at all. That and Baddadan have replaced Remember and 0800 Heaven this week.
