Pinkpantheress Is a lot higher than I imagined. Could do even higher next time around.

Not sure how much their style is for me

Nicole Scherzinger is someone who I love vocally and they do have some solid solo material but a lot of their solo material feels wasted. Such an incredible voice and the ability to really perform too but very hit and miss solo material (and perhaps not enough of it too).

In what f**cked up world does the legendary and iconic Grace Jones get beaten by Geri Horner-Halliwell-or-god-knows-what-basic as-hell!!

I know it’s a bit of fun, but c’mon people!!! :-)

Whyyy?!!! :-)

Grace is up there with pioneers like Kate Bush, Madonna and Debbie H - she should be top 10. Trailblazers each one.

Geri "basic as hell" Halliwell had 4 solo #1 singles and was the UK female act with the most solo #1 singles for over 10 years.

Fair enough if you prefer Grace Jones but no need to call others basic.

We have 10 new entries in the top 100 and 12 climbers into it. Not a substantial change over 4 years really.

Grace hasn't had an original top 40 hit since 1986 (she had a remix of a previous hit make the top 40 in 1994) so she's not been a contemporary artist for decades. So hardly a surprise she's not top 100 on a relatively young forum like Buzzjack!

You mean a ‘contemporary singles chart artist’?!! Grace will always be a contemporary artist, but granted, no real singles chart success since 1994.

Strictly speaking, the term "contemporary art" refers to art made and produced by artists living today, and she’s very much alive and still making music. Her influence is also huge; and she only just featured on ‘Renaissance’ which was a recent global #1 album.

To be fair, I think it is difficult to not call one of the spice girls iconic also. They are just as recognisable as Grace Jones.

Grace Jones is one I’ve never been compelled to listen to an album by. The few singles I do know are okay but not things I’d rush to listen to. I think she’s someone I admire more than I enjoy maybe?

Wow Jessie J Top 100. Thought she was hated on here but guess has a few fans. Few of her first singles were good but then got dreadful 'It's My Party' in particular wad ewwww...

Her attitude was a bit annoying too.

Jessie is up and down for me. Like most of her output after 'Price Tag' then came 'It's My Party' and her personality was largely overbearing too which didn't help. I did enjoy her first year on the Voice though.

Would have expected Becky to have been higher tbf!

I probably should have given Becky Hill some votes tbh. I adore her voice and she's easily one of my favourite current female pop stars.
NGL I do have a big soft spot for Jessie J and I think she’s incredibly talented, so glad she made the Top 100. It’s so easy for female artists to be labelled as either too in your face or lacking in personality - not really surprising some of them end up with an off-putting persona.
