April 20, 20232 yr it doesn’t hold up to the original Fatboy Slim song whatsoever but its alright for what it is don’t see it being that big of a hit really
April 20, 20232 yr Really? I see it being massive, everybody loves the original and this is like a cover but without being a cover Only issue is the Spotify support but we saw with the last single that she can buy some autopayola too if necessary ;)
April 20, 20232 yr I don’t know what it is but ever since Phoenix era nothing she’s released has really hit me. Phoenix was a really strong album but since then I’ve not really been wowed by anything and this hasn’t really made me feel anything  I do still like her and I think she is capable of getting me interested again. I think because there’s a few interpolations of other songs having success in the charts these days as well it kind of feels like a chase for a hit but there is something that’s not clicking with me the way I used too with her.
April 20, 20232 yr I didn't hold a lot of hope for this as I'm in the minority of people who are not that keen on the original. I do love me a bit of Rita though. It's good. As has been said... a cover without being a cover... probably the best chance she has of a proper hit in years... If this doesn't do it for her the nothing will.
April 20, 20232 yr I’d be shocked if this was a hit (my personal thoughts aside that I think it’s dire). She’s signed to BMG that solely focus on album performance - all their artists Kylie, Steps, Rick Astley, Craig David, JLS, 5SOS, Louis Tomlinson etc., have all achieved little to none single success under them but had great album performances.

Really all those acts would struggle to get a hit single no matter what label they are with.
April 20, 20232 yr Really all those acts would struggle to get a hit single no matter what label they are with. And Rita seems to be going to the same way…. My point was if you are chasing hit singles BMG is not the label to be doing it with.
April 20, 20232 yr but I think they cannot apply the same startegy for Rita than for Steps/Kylie, Rita doesn't have the crazy fanbase that will buy 14 vinyls each
April 20, 20232 yr but I think they cannot apply the same startegy for Rita than for Steps/Kylie, Rita doesn't have the crazy fanbase that will buy 14 vinyls each It doesn’t seem too crazy for formats compared to current standards but of course there could be more, I think the release will be heavily reliant on HMV/Store signings, Album launch shows etc., Standard CD Deluxe CD Zine Deluxe CD Zine (Amazon Signed Exclusive) Green Vinyl Orange Vinyl Blue Spotify Vinyl
April 20, 20232 yr Damn this is a bop and a half, too soon to say for sure but this might become my fave single of hers since Anywhere
April 20, 20232 yr I'm a huge Rita fan normally and I think this is trash? I'm shocked at the largely positive reaction tbh, lmao! I don't think it'll be a hit to be honest (sadly). Doesn't sound like one to my ears :(
April 20, 20232 yr I wouldn’t consider it stand out this early on but it is way better than the last single. The versus are much stronger than the chorus and the sample is very well done. Really hoping this does something for her. If it can happen for Zara with crap streaming support, who knows!

That's not totally accurate. For example, KSI had achieved multiple hit singles during the time he was a BMG artist.
April 20, 20232 yr And they are doing things They paid for the Spotify autoplay payola x her last singlr 😎😅
April 22, 20232 yr Turns out it's the Fatboy Slim remix, which Capital Dance is also playing. Definitely should've been the main version
April 22, 20232 yr I heard it just before the chart show yesterday and agree it's better. That'll explain why Shazam didn't seem to recognise it as being a remix!
April 22, 20232 yr Not impressed with the new single. Not anywhere near as good as a lot of her other songs. Feels like a big step back.
April 22, 20232 yr Up there with Bang Bang for the best thing she’s released since the Phoenix era for me.
