Buzzjack hated on Katy On A Mission when it was released? Y'all need to get scrubbing that from the history books out of SHAME.

Would have liked to see it finish higher up than that but glad it made the top 50 at least. Banger.

'Katy On A Mission' was OK but I much preferred her disco-ballad 'Crying For No Reason'.

what's with all the hate for 'Wow'?! OK it's not the best ever song in Kylie's discography but it's still a bop!

'Mundian To Bach Ke' is total genius, it somehow still doesn't sound dated!

Wow is really just the opposite of wow, mediocre at best

Really liked the Katy B song, her first 2 albums are amazing and full of gems, I guess Crying for no reason might have eclipsed this one a bit in the final.

Ooh all three of those were ranked really close together in my votes! 'Katy On A Mission' is narrowly my favourite, still great, although I think she bettered it a few times.

This was the sixteenth consecutive top 10 single for Girls Aloud. The long list of songwriters is partially explained by the members of Nazareth being credited after a sample from their 1975 song 'Hair Of The Dog' was used.

This was the last of a run of ten top 10 hits for Blondie from 1978 to 1981. It would be eighteen years before the next one. In their own country, it was the first number 1 single to feature rap vocals.

I'd rank '(You Drive Me) Crazy' around mid-table in Britney's discography: it's fine but she's done much better.

Kinda the same for 'Sexy! No No No', and there's something about the production I find a little jarring.

'Rapture' is obviously an early rap classic!

'Sexy! No No No...' :cheeseblock: what a daring lead when 'Call The Shots' was right there. I still think it's a thrilling pop song and Cheryl's intro is her best contribution to music tbh

'Rapture' was by far my least favourite of the 5 songs that I'd not heard before, still had some decent elements to it (mainly the instrumental) but it really dragged on and I found myself cringing a bit at the rap section. Kudos to it being technically the first (partly) rap song to hit #1 in the US I guess

The other two here are both ok but not really standouts in either of their discographies for me. All 3 were in my bottom 10.

yes nothing amazing, Rapture was actually my last one, my least favourite

did it really take 17 people t4o write that awful GA thing lol :D

Yep same for me - hadn't heard it before and did nothing for me on first listen!

None of my Top 10 out yet, Cher (40 pts) and Katy B (34 pts) my highest out so far. Rest 23pts and down.

Rapture is disappointing by Blondie standards, can imagine it may have sounded better at the time but it hasn’t aged well

The Bucketheads was an alias for the American producer Kenny Gonzalez. The Bomb! features samples from the 1979 song 'Street Player' by Chicago and the 1993 track 'The Preacher Man' by Green Velvet. The actual lyric from 'Street Player' is "Street sounds swirling through my mind...".

This was a cover of a 1984 song by the singer Raf which had already been a number 1 single in his home country, Italy. In some European countries, both versions were in the top 5 at the same time. Laura Branigan's only other top 10 hit, Gloria, was also a cover of an Italian song. Self Control is the first single so far to have been given more than one 50 point score.

'Self Control' is another one I'd not heard before this, thought it was good but not spectacular. Don't care much at all for the Texas song. The Bucketheads is the best of this trio, definitely a classic there!
Was great rediscovering Summer Son in the albums listenthrough recently, love the bells on it  The Bucketheads is a bop too, although I'll unfortunately always associate it with Pitbull's I Know You Want Me haha
