I believe this is another one that I only heard for the first time when doing the singles rate and another one of the best discoveries from that alongside the Mac Miller track.

Gah BuzzJack momentarily crashed for me :drama: glad that didn't last too long!

Not huge on 'Bed' tbh, I remember 'Dance To This' coming out really close to this and it majorly overshadowed for me

Bed is pretty good judging from Nicki's recent standards.

Definitely an unessential part of their discographies overall though.

   still my favourite Ariana single *.* I can't believe I found it underwhelming on first listen  but it slowly grew on me and then the VMAs performance officially turned me into a stan. My personal chart only became stable from summer 2018 onwards and it was her first #1 there!

That video too :cheeseblock: this era was such a slam dunk for visuals.

'God is a woman' is my least favourite of the 'sweetener' singles but seeming that it's such a holy trinity then that's not such a bad thing.

Wild that this it was originally written for Camila Cabello though. It doesn't feel like a Camila track at all.

Shame those features breaking up the flow of her best back-to-back singles :kink:

I'm so glad that 'breathin' still got a bit of a moment in the sun even though the thank u, next era was here, the video is a really effective, subtle depiction of anxiety.

This is of course the slam dunk visual I was referring to :kink: *.*

breathin  One of her most beautiful and effective tracks. It's deceivingly simple.

I remember staying up until 5am to watch Ariana's live-stream before the album was released and she hinted that this was going to be the fan favourite and from the first listen I already knew it was going to be my song of the year.

When we look back at her career in the future, this is what is going to be seen THE Ariana track and the most important moment of her career.

It was so amazing to see it become so massive, so quickly after the 'sweetener' singles all peaking lower than they deserved.

It's the only Ariana song in Rolling Stones' '500 Greatest Songs of All Time' list.

The moment she truly went stratospheric... *.* so glad she finally achieved a Hot 100 #1 with this, crazy that she now has 7

I did find the song a step down from the highs of the sweetener singles but definitely appreciate the lyrical maturity. I'm a huge Mean Girls fan too, so was bound to stan the video!

After 'sweetener' having pretty much its best songs as the singles, 'thank u, next' is back to the singles mostly being among the weaker songs on the album for me. Though I don't dislike any of them.

Oh just remembered that this was such an enjoyable finale at the Sweetener World Tour *.* definitely craving a new tour from her!

I stanned this so hard at the time! I would say that 'ghostin' has now overtaken as my favourite on the album, but I'm appreciating this a bit more again after a break.
'7 rings' was one of my most exciting songs to hear live. Everyone screaming along the words to the rap was amazing.
