We've hosted them for all of her albums in the past... so now it's time for the singles. If you haven't joined in with one of our listening sessions in the past then we essentially hit play on the same playlist at the same time and discuss the music in this thread as we go along. But we thought more than one festive song in March was probably pushing it :lol: Aw okay </3 if anyone can't make the whole thing then feel free to jump in at any point :heart: We were originally planning to go with Monday but I didn't want to step on the toes of the 2000s mods who are doing a Sophie Ellis-Bextor session that night. Although I do have a driving lesson that evening so will probably be less mentally exhausted on the Wednesday anyway :kink:

I don't think I actually heard this song for the first time until a few years after it came out. I knew of its existence though as I used to be an admin on Glee Wiki and a user on there was called PutYourHeartsUp :lol: "Can't resurrect Gandhi, resurrect King" is quite an unexpected lyric for a bubblegum pop Nickelodeon single tbh. Anyway, this is not really my thing, nor Ariana's these days with her disowning :kink:

March 15, 20232 yr 'The Way' was the first Ariana song I heard and I fell in love straight away. It's nowhere near her best but is probably still my favourite from the 'Yours Truly' era. 'I'm Not a Player' is a much cooler choice of song to interpolate. It's a classic. RIP Mac :heart:

March 15, 20232 yr There was a time that I would have found this incredibly irritating but I've warmed a lot to Mika over the years. Still bottom-tier of Ari singles though. We're going to get Ariana singing the original 'Popular' soon.
