All the girls u loved before - I'm obsessed with it officially.

Sweet nothing - another beautiful track from Midnights

Today was a fairytale & White Horse are two of my favs from fearless.

How you get thr girl is a bop.

Miss Americana is top lover tier and the lakes is top tier folklore - it reminds me so much of my staycation in the summer between the lockdowns of 2020.

130. Hey Stephen

129. Message in a Bottle

128. Stay Stay Stay

127. Renegade (Big Red Machine ft. Taylor Swift)

126. cowboy like me

125. illicit affairs

124. The Best Day

123. Nothing New (ft. Phoebe Bridgers)

122. invisible string

121. We Were Happy

If you're not on any of her 2020s releases (bar Midnights), you can breathe a sigh of relief for this section x

Fearless loses three tracks here. Hey Stephen is a yeehaw bop, The Best Day is a gorgeous song and We Were Happy is one of my faves from Fearless TV, another gorgeous ballad.

Red also loses three here. Message in a Bottle and Stay Stay Stay are both bops but I do have to be in the right mood to enjoy them both. On the other hand, Nothing New is beautiful but is more fitting for depressing moods x

Two more depart from folklore, which feels kind of weird that 6 have now left from that album considering its my fave Tay album. illicit affairs & invisible string are both great tracks, the former has a new lease of life for me after that fantastic tour version & I love the latter lyrically and it has a nice acoustic feel to it. cowboy like me departs from sister album evermore, great track but I don't adore it as much as others do. And on this ilk, Taylor's first collaboration with Big Red Machine departs a lot higher than their other one, Renegade is a bop and if it didn't sound so similar to long story short it'd probs be higher here!

(btw thx for all the comments as usual <3 love hearing your thoughts on this!!)

Wow - she's got so many great songs. In each round I'm like: that would be high up for me but they can't ALL be high up lol

Love Hey Stephen though I don't listen to it a lot but I do listen to Nothing New, Message in a bottle and invisible string fairly regularly - all fantastic songs :)

I actually thought I remembered you being quite a big fan of 'betty' (although I am not a fan so not complaining at it being so low x).

'Maroon' didn't click with me on first listen but grew on me pretty quickly to now be one of my faves from 'Midnights'. 'the lakes' and 'Renegade' defo both deserve to be way higher <3 (the latter feels way too good to have ended up stranded on Big Red Machine's album)

Honestly same

Betty used to be slightly higher on my folklore rankings (I used to have it above invisible string/illicit affairs) but its never been one of my album highlights! Also I think one of the reasons I loved it more at the time was cos it was country-Taylor for the first time in forever, but now we've had some evermore tracks + Fearless/Red TVs so it doesn't stand out for that reason anymore

120. Clean

119. That's When (ft. Keith Urban)

118. Daylight

117. Welcome to New York

116. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things

115. This Love

114. A Place in This World

113. Stay Beautiful

112. Long Live

111. Paper Rings

We've now reached songs that are in the top half of this countdown! (from 112/113 upwards) (and songs I really am starting to stan)

1989 loses the most here as three depart. This Love would've probs been around ~170 a year ago but the TV version improved it for me so much (and it also helped being a separate release so I could give it attention), a beautiful track. Welcome to New York is such a fun album opener, quite a divisive song but its a major bop and its my national anthem whenever I'm in New York. Clean is a major fan favourite, I do like it and its a beautiful album closer, but its not my favourite. In terms of divisive songs, we also lose Rep's bop & tour closer This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things which is a very fun track, and in terms of fan favourites we lose Long Live, another album closer which is beautiful. And in terms of TV songs, Fearless TV track That's When departs, which was a surprisingly great duet and my 2nd fave of the new Fearless songs (*just* beating We Were Happy).

Debut and Lover also lose two tracks too! Yeehaw bops of life A Place in This World (that chorus is so goddamn catchy) and Stay Beautiful (I loved this one so much when I was younger & it remains a great song, love the melody of it) leave here from Debut. Whilst we lose our third album closer in this section with Daylight departing. Gorgeous song and I absolutely adore the callback to Red (the song), but I just don't return to it enough for it to be higher here. Paper Rings is also a bop of life and is what London Boy wants to be, the production and lyrics are so so catchy and I lowkey think it would've made a good single.

And this just made me realise that Taylor Swift and Reputation are the only albums that still have their (standard) album closers left in this countdown! :o I really thought I stanned them more than that

Happy to read that 'This Love' grew on you thanks to the TV version  it was a really unexpected choice of song to push but I was very much here for it *.*
Nothing there I’m really huge on. I’m guessing aside from a handful of album tracks it’s main,h singles I like. Haha.
Funnily enough, Daylight came up from shuffle today and after the first listen I had to repeat it a few times cause I found myself engrossed by it!

CLEAN! THIS LOVE! WELCOME TO NEW YORK! LONG LIVE! PAPER RINGS!

and most importantly...

THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!

All stellar. I love TIWWCHNT SOOOOO much and I always have. So underrated and under appreciated.

Welcome to New York and Paper Rings, love those! I like This Love more now as well. I haven't heard A Place in This World or Stay Beautiful in a while, I might have to play those soon.

110. Wonderland

109. Picture To Burn

108. Tim McGraw

107. Speak Now

106. September (Spotify Covers)

105. Gasoline (HAIM ft. Taylor Swift)

104. Lavender Haze

103. Question...?

102. Eyes Open

101. The Archer

Onwards and upwards as we reach songs I rate 9.5/10!

Debut and Midnights both lose two songs apiece here. From debut we have one of her first singles with Picture To Burn, this would probs be top 25 Taylor songs for me when I was 14-15 but it has aged quite a bit, still a bop tho. We also lose her first ever single here with Tim McGraw, a gorgeous country ballad which is ofc forever iconic within her discography with it being her debut. The tour performance of this reminded me what a beautiful track this is. Midnights loses its opening track & current single with Lavender Haze, and album track bop Question...? Lavender Haze will probs crack my top 100 pretty soon, I loved it at first, then got a bit bored of it but since the tour performance its rly clicked with me again & I've been playing it lots recently. Question is also a bop, very 1989-ish. Lowkey think I might prefer both these Midnights songs over one that made my top 100 oops.

A few non-album singles depart here. First we lose her cover of September. I nearly didn't include this cos *technically* its not an official single, but I love this cover so much. So soothing & calming, and her vocals are beautiful on it. (and low-key, its better than the original x). The first of two HAIM collabs drop out here, Gasoline is a bop and I always live for HAIM/Taylor interactions, but I don't revisit it too often nowadays. And now a Red song due to the TV version, the first of the two Hunger Games songs - Eyes Open - just misses the top 100 here. The Taylor Version reminded me how much I underrate this song and its been good to actually have an excuse to listen to it regularly recently, I love the rock feel of this track. (and like LH, it probs cracks my top 100 if I was rearranging this order whilst posting).

Also departing is 1989's deluxe track Wonderland, which I love lyrically & sonically, and the titular track from Speak Now which again is so strong lyrically and I love the transitions of storytelling between each section of the song. Both wonderful tracks <3 And just missing the top 100 is The Archer from Lover, a fantastic song <3 My only problem with The Archer tho is that it feels like it has the potential to be even better than it is (like legit top 25 worthy) if the song just exploded more, I'm lowkey obsessed with the fake tour versions when the 2nd verse production picks-up and then explodes over the bridge, which is how this song should sound! (and is kind of what You're On Your Own, Kid does, or something like Supercut from Melodrama). But still a fab track <3

top 100 coming up! with some faves & some surprises!
