Posted April 12, 20232 yr Yesterday I booked flights and accommodation for the Thursday night. This will be my first experience of a host city during Eurovision week.
April 12, 20232 yr Yep, have everything sorted for Tuesday to Saturday! Doing live semi 1, family semi 2 and have Euroclub tickets for the Wednesday and Friday (plus the viewing of the final).
April 14, 20232 yr Just secured tickets for the Eurovision Village Grand Final screening! Where you will find me in a wedding suit after zooming down from a wedding in Birmingham in the day  Also booked tickets for Euroclub after party on the Tuesday. I’m definitely not as organised and a trained veteran like Jahq who clearly had this all planned meticulously to get the tickets he wanted. So I’m now having to make it up as I go along a bit but regardless I’ll be THERE!

I’m definitely not as organised and a trained veteran like Jahq who clearly had this all planned meticulously to get the tickets he wanted. So I’m now having to make it up as I go along a bit but regardless I’ll be THERE! A wedding on Eurovision day, omg! Hopefully they'll show it at their reception, if that's in the evening! I finally got tickets too for that, so at least will be able to watch it somewhere. Fingers crossed it's not raining! We've got tickets for the Euroclub Semi 2 screening on Thursday too. (I say we, it's my partner, her brother's partner, and her Swedish friend who loves Melodifestivalen so a random mix). Not quite sure what's happening before that really, I provisionally got tickets for that National Lottery thing on Sunday but not even sure I can afford to go up that early. I did book the whole week off work but there are a lot of moving parts at the moment. So god knows where I'll be for the first semi, maybe still at home, maybe in Liverpool.
April 14, 20232 yr Alas, I'll still be at home on the South Coast for Eurovision week (not that I could have got the time off from work anyway).
April 17, 20232 yr I’ve made a snap decision to go up to Liverpool for the first half of the week, and then go to my parents’ on the Wednesday and watch the rest there. :) Have Monday and Tuesday Euroclub tickets and on the Sunday waiting list. Vaguely hoping an actual first semi ticket might fall into my lap but unlikely. ;)
April 22, 20232 yr Some more tickets being released at midday on Monday apparently - I’m planning to have another try for Semi 1 :)
April 22, 20232 yr couldnt get tickets but will be there to soak up the atmos. I will be the old-but-still-fabulous bloke filmed by news crews banging on the doors of the concert hall and screaming "let me in! let me in! You bast*rds, I've been watching Eurovision since Sandie Shaw won and the least you could do is give me priority. Oh The Humanity!" Plus I might see friends who will actually be there as long-time UK OGAE organisers and members and who have nagged me for years to join up too. Oops! :D
April 22, 20232 yr I am not going to the host city but on the Saturday ill be having a party with my friends in Berlin that i am looking forward to so much. The one we had last year was great fun. I'll watch the semis from home as well
April 24, 20232 yr Me too! Restricted view but I’ll be rocking out to the back of Loreen’s head or sitting behind the stage in style. Couldn’t get anything else at all but finally SOMETHING!
April 24, 20232 yr And WEDNESDAY JURY SHOW BOOKED! Not sure I can justify this money wise, but wasn’t about to pass it up and now I get to see every act perform!
April 24, 20232 yr Have a Live Semi 1 standing ticket - sooo expensive but never mind; chuffed anyway! If anyone wants my Euroclub Semi 1 screening ticket let me know! :)
April 24, 20232 yr Ahhh amazing that so many people have been successful from the second wave of tickets  Either this second wave had more tickets than I expected, or the non-mega fans had just given up
April 24, 20232 yr Possibly both? I was never more than number 1300 in any of the Semi 1 queues, and that was for the live show. There was less than 800 in both the afternoon preview and the jury shows.
