April 27, 20232 yr Piece of time is not that great and should have been a bside (placing nervous on the album instead). Actually I rather like the prospect of 'Nervous' replacing 'A Piece of Time' on the main album.

April 28, 20232 yr It's the ballad on the album that shouldn't work in theory, but I actually enjoy it and it's a nice little wind down at the end of the main album. Her vocals are divine! I never got on board with that proposed single mix of it though, so in a way I'm glad that didn't happen.

April 29, 20232 yr Really love ‘It Won’t Work Out’. Gorgeous melody, lyrics and vocals. A nicely heartfelt delivery, and she makes it sound easy. So it’s always a pleasant listen.
May 9, 20232 yr Author 'Goodbye Song' is a very different song to the one I first envisioned when I saw the title. I like the harder sound on this, probably wouldn't fit the main album but it's fun as a B-side. 'It Won't Work Out' is pleasant but doesn't do a great deal for me. It feels very tacked-on to the album - an album that doesn't really require a ballad. I'd have had 'Just Can't Give You Up' and 'Hide & Seek' much higher but I guess I see why they placed low. 'A Piece of Time' kinda reminds me of 'Give It To Me' on Kylie's 'Fever' with the glitchy production and the way both slightly interrupt the flow of their albums.
May 9, 20232 yr I don’t dislike ‘Goodbye Song’ but for me there is better on the album, this was a low 5 vote for me. That being said I think it just shows the overall quality of NN as I don’t skip any of the tracks.
May 9, 20232 yr 'Goodbye Song' is quite clunky sounding, but I think knowingly (deliberately?) so and it has a certain charm about it. I wouldn't say it was a glaring omission from the main album though, and most definitely not a single like I saw somebody suggest on here recently!

May 10, 20232 yr This used to be like a huge fave of mine when I first heard the album, in later years it slipped down my rankings quite a bit but I always loved the vibe of it. There's some real catchy hooks there! "The music keeps on moving..."
May 12, 20232 yr Author Aw I really like 'Nervous', should be Top 10 (as should the song which tied with it, separated only by higher individual scores... to be revealed later!). Annoyed it was missed off the 2018 vinyl.

May 13, 20232 yr This rate was the first time I’d listened to Nervous. It’s probably the one track that has really grown on me since then. It’s an ear worm.
