That top 3 of all brand new entries in 2013 was a rarity! Can't have happened many times since (excluding album drop weeks).

yeah I fully expect Lewis is number one now if he’s put out CDs

not thrilled about that but at least Calvin has had a multi week number one already

An complimentary amount of CD's helping Capaldi once again with the #1 today??? Convenient how they got sent on a Thursday.

Come on Calvin/Ellie or David.

Anyone but Capaldi.

Retro faves!

Getting very bored of Buzzjack's hate for Ed, Lewis and other male artists but maybe I'm still relatively new and its been going on for years? Just appreciate music, I enjoy everything from Dua Lipa to Drake.

Buzzjack has always been more partial to female soloists but Ed and Lewis have a fair amount of fans here too, it just appears a lot of the time that the moaners outnumber them when we get tired of them getting hit after hit
FUTURE REMINDER that anything Lewis Capaldi releases will go to #1 as the label can effortlessly rig the charts in his favour with infinite CD sales

So are you a fool, or did you heed the warning of the wise one?

That top 3 of all brand new entries in 2013 was a rarity! Can't have happened many times since (excluding album drop weeks).

I don't think there has ever been an album drop that resulted in an all new top 3? (Ed and Harry's both included at least one song that was already charting)

Probably another pretty boring chart today (although yay for 2 high new entries at least) but looking forward to Post Malone 'deep-diving' with a higher chart position than any of the singles from his last album.

So are you a fool, or did you heed the warning of the wise one?

Love his #1 hit 'How I'm Feeling Now' x

We stan Ed and Lewis slaying the charts with non-fake signed CDs and totally unique, fun and inspiring music 💅😍

Jorja Smith

Try Me

170x170bb.jpg

1st single from forthcoming studio album

Released: 14th April 2023

Label: FAMM

Video

Biography

Blending classical vocal artistry with beats inspired by modern R&B, reggae and hip-hop, Jorja Smith has risen to become one of Britain’s most exciting soul singers since her debut single, the searching, Dizzee Rascal-sampling “Blue Lights”, came out in 2016. Born in Walsall in 1997, Smith began studying music at an early age while listening to reggae, dub and soul music on her own, and her YouTube covers of hits by Alex Clare and Tinie Tempah garnered her notice from industry bigwigs. Smith’s second single, the glossy “Where Did I Go?”, was praised by Drake that July; a few months later, she released her debut EP, Project 11, and was named to the BBC’s Sound of 2017 long list. Drake invited Smith to tour with her and appear on his project More Life in 2017, and later that year she collaborated with American urbano star Kali Uchis on “Tyrant” and toured the world with Bruno Mars. Smith kicked off her 2018 with the BRIT Critics’ Choice Award, and soon after, she put out her debut full-length, Lost & Found, which showcased her defiantly honest songwriting, effortless genre-mixing and supple voice on tracks like the soulful “Wandering Romance” and the downtempo “On Your Own”. - Apple Music

Yes good point I didn't need the parenthesised part after all.
