I think I rarely vote for super short entries as more often than not they're over before I have a chance to really form an opinion on them even if they are ones I enjoy the general aesthetic of! (That said, probably a bigger factor here is that a lot of those short DNQs are joke entries)

 

There are a few bangers on that list though, including the robbed 'Saxy Beast' and 'Mercury: Retrograde'.

 

Also yay for Saor still being in the top 10 longest finalists :magic: (unless there are still at least 3 2 missing)

definitely does feel like with short songs there's very little to hold onto, I've found several short songs recently that I just wouldn't consider entering because it'll be over too quickly.

well the stats are in the OP so you do the math :P

 

about 3 and a half minutes is the average runtime for a BJSC winner though for what that's worth (although all three of my winning entries have exceeded that by some way)
