He's also been the main producer for the last three Bananarama albums so I'd say he can be fairly hit-or-miss in the sense that he can go very bog-standard pop. Still, nice to have something musically new from Dannii, even if I'm fairly sure this'll lead nowhere.

To be honest, I'm kind of disappointed that she didn't opt to go with another producer for this one; I know she and Ian are close friends, but it does feel like a bit of a wasted opportunity as I'm sure she could possibly get some minor funding/interest to work with another producer. Ian can be a bit hit-or-miss.

May 12, 20232 yr Ian is the go to person for Dannii! Lets be optimistic!! I’m just pleased we have new music - I don’t care about the producer, label etc :cheer:

Not really surprised to be honest, I just don't think she's really interested in doing the album cycle slog and the profits with a multiple formats, that gets a high peak but sells like 10k, is clearly to small for her too bother. She doesn't seem interested to tour either besides one off shows, so it makes no sense for her to record new material. Edited May 12, 20232 yr by tommie
May 13, 20232 yr Agreed - enjoyed the small clip, it’s not like Dannii is expecting a hit off the back of this and recorded in support of her show so it’s a nice thing to have.

I’ve always said this - Dannii would have to throw everything at release week (launch shows, signings, any TV/Radio/Press that wants her, signed copies etc.,) for a very minimal return of a 12-out album and the whole campaign done and dusted after week 1 with no great reward - hardly a big incentive :lol:
