We don’t need anyone in Europe to hate the UKs entry/performance when most on here hate it more than they could :drama:

I thought she done a great job - I fear a bad result at this point will kill the UK momentum, it’s been fun to finally have the UK interested in the contest for the 2nd year running and our entry becoming a home hit.

I don't think the song is that bad, but we've gone to create a popstar again and it suffers against lots of other young female vocalists, who have catchier songs, can dance better, and are easier on the eye.

Not sure it will kill momentum as there's no way we picked this song to win.

People will forget to vote for Portugal and Albania. Not sure about the judges.

But there's no point in pretending that she was better than she was. Vocally she was sadly among the worst of the night and the staging wasn't particularly memorable - not awful but most of the contestants actually sang really very well to be fair to them so it just stood out as being a little sub-standard. Mae seems like she's a lovely person but she just doesn't have that star quality that a winning/successful act needs.

I don't think she'll have been helped by having Sam perform directly after her either :(

Swedish commentators are praising Alesha.

1 for the girls and a bit of a lead for Portugal because she’ll be snubbed for sure

Indeed. Sam Ryder's performance was great. Mae's was adequate.

Alesha was really good in this and so were/are the rest. Eurovision has really stepped up their host game for the most part
Really?

Yes, they did say they found her shaky earlier in the week but now gives a good interview.
