The first Gay UK dating/ reality show… Anyone watched the first couple of eps?

Really enjoyed them and it’s good that they’ve actually got different types of guys on there and they haven’t gone down the route of Love Island Of basically one size fits all.

Shame episode 2 ended on a cliffhanger, but it was expected.

The BBC is strong atm for reality tv what with this, Race Across the World and The Traitors.

Just finished episode 1, it seems pretty decent so far but I'm not loving it immediately this time as much as series 1. Hopefully a lot of spice still to come as the kiss-offs start happening, etc. W

Ranking in similar fashion to the one above: Callum Jas Jack S Ruben Baraka Lars Jordon R Aron Jack D Hugh Justin Jordan B Rory Adam Maybe an unpopular opinion but I can’t stand Adam.

Jokes aside, I will say that any attempt on a gay dating show tends to fall into the same trap - they tend to try to make homosexuals fit into a heterosexual pattern. Which is obviously very dumb.

Maybe this will be different, I dunno. Dannii's there and she's just the greatest hag there is.

I hadn't bagged this as being my cup of tea at all but watched episodes 1 and 2 this morning on a whim whilst looking for something to watch and I was actually enjoying it? Like yes, some of the things they're coming out with are highly stereotypical but actually it has shown a softer side to gay dating and how there are actually some who geneuinely do just want a meaningful relationship. At the end of it all, it's a dating show made for BBC Three so it's not going to set the world alight but it's actually refreshing for the BBC (and UK TV in general) to put something like this out. Mikey aside (definitely just thrown a cat amongst the pigeons for the lols), the dynamics of the group so far is great and I'm rooting for Ollie and Ben.

So they're all skanks?

Yeah definitely... I'm guessing he's going to end up picking..

Josh

I'd rather he went the other way though.

I wasn't a fan of Ollie to begin with as he just seemed so guarded - but he was good to see he sort of upped his game with Ben - given he was so in demand.

So the finale is already available on iPlayer (just like all episodes have been each week) ahead of its BBC Three broadcast

Very happy that the 4 remaining couples all turned for each other. When their friends and family arrived to meet everyone and watch the final ceremony it was really sweet. A shame Ben and Matty had to exit but the others' decision for voting them out was warranted. I'll be interested to see if anyone actually survived post-show (I'm really rooting for Dan and Ollie). There is a reunion episode on its way.

Some of us are stereotypical! I have the opposite problem these days, everyone seems to want to be and to date against type 🙃

Intrigued by this, the bonus of course of same sex (or even bisexual) dating is the option of exponentially increasing the possible pairings!

How did I miss that this was coming back on again so soon?

Thanks for the heads up!!

Just finished episode 1, it seems pretty decent so far but I'm not loving it immediately this time as much as series 1. Hopefully a lot of spice still to come as the kiss-offs start happening, etc.

What's disappointed me the most going into the series this time is the reaction from the LGBTQ+ community online. People being really harsh and judgmental about the cast, some of the comments that have been made are just ridiculous and vile. How do you ever expect us to be able to make progress when this is the way you behave to the representation we do get? It's so belittling. Some chronically online gays clearly think they're a lot better than others.

But anyway, a light-hearted ranking after the first episode (a mix of how entertaining they are vs. how hot they are kink):

  1. Rory

  2. Adam

  3. Jas

  4. Aron

  5. Jack S

  6. Jordan B

  7. Lars

  8. Jack D

  9. Ruben

  10. Jordon R

Rory and Adam are giving me everything bratcheeseblock

Ranking in similar fashion to the one above:

  1. Callum

  2. Jas

  3. Jack S

  4. Ruben

  5. Baraka

  6. Lars

  7. Jordon R

  8. Aron

  9. Jack D

  10. Hugh

  11. Justin

  12. Jordan B

  13. Rory

  14. Adam

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I can’t stand Adam. Very icky behaviour.

I'm up to episode 4 and I actually think they're a great group of people. It might just be current series bias but they seem to be a lot more watchable than the first series. There's some great banter and some really strong emotional moments. Episode 3 in particular really made me warm to everyone with Lars and Adam opening up in the group.

well that went well with Rory being my favourite sarah

watched all four episodes and I'm glad the three new boys have come in because it was going down a road of the original group just starting to bitch and moan and get at each other's throats about anything and everything.

  1. Jack S

  2. Callum

  3. Adam

  4. Jas

  5. Aron

  6. Hugh

  7. Ruben

  8. Jordan B

  9. Lars

  10. Baraka

  11. Justin

  12. Jack D

  13. Jordon R

at this point Jack S is giving me everything just purely entertainment-wise. Adam opening up about his HIV diagnosis was really touching and Callum's an interesting one that I want to see more of as the series goes on. The only one in the cast I'm really not keen on in any way is Jordon R.

This series is really good tv tbh, great cast of boys, I think my favourite one to watch entertainment wise is Adam, I love how he knows his self worth and doesn't to be second best due to his own insecurities in the past! I love admired him bravely coming out as HIV Positive and tbh all those important talks we have seen are so important. I love this series tbh more than the first,

Have to be honest and say I wasn't sure about this series after the first episode, but the second changed my mind and I'm fully invested now.

Up to Ep 6 and think it's a shame there's only 4 left to go.

Not sure I can pick anyone out as a favourite, but they are all very watchable.
