Not much of an impact so far…

 

I didn't expect there to be much on I tunes, there very rarely is. There won't be much on streaming either unless anything goes viral or the songs from the performance get added onto some playlists huns.

 

Padam having a nice benefit though and seems to be having a nice little climb, hopefully it can gain some extra streams with it being a recent big hit.

I don't think much impact to be honest.

 

Obviously if she had a new greatest hits out it would have be sold but its a shame both this and An Audience With had little impact.

 

However on ticket sales to tours these performances will be very beneficial

Also if she had promoted Dance Alone that would have grabbed some impact as it is new

Looking at iTunes it seems a really flat year for Brits impact - was expecting Raye to br clogging up the Top 40 and big boosts for Ellie/Calvin etc too

I think the lack of action on iTunes and Amazon just shows how differently people consume music now - years ago a Brits win resulted being catapulted to the top end of the charts.

 

For Tension and SBIT they’ve probably grabbed 20 extra paid for iTunes sales max so far.

Let's be real, Brits being televised on Saturday evening means that younger generation is not watching and it's the generation that consumes music the most.

Just makes you wonder how even much of a bugger hit Padam would have been on its initial run if it had some more performances and promo, probably would have had a higher peak or stayed in the top 10 for even longer.

The best thing about her award is the buzz it’s generated and adding the medley quickly to her own channel is going to help probably more than the dwindling viewers that this programme attracts. It just isn’t very good.

I agree, it took me a while to come to terms with the "new world", but in 2024 I guess the 2 big things are streaming #s and sales. No one, rather record companies don't seem to care about chart positions (singles chart) or number of weeks on the chart (album). That would explain why BMG is trying to push Kylie so much in the US given its music listening population is easily 10-15x the UK and that means more streaming #s for Kylie.

 

I saw a youtube video with Kylie's albums streaming numbers and in less than 6mo, Tension is already like more than half of Disco.

The Kylie Brit Awards performance is 10th on the UK YouTube Chart on Kworb.
