I have read everything :cheer: So many good ideas here, I think the girls needed you as managers  I'll try and get around to doing this myself!

Not so sure about Dancing Queen's "none" entries

Also been a few flouting the rules entries! :arrr: B-)

You gave them rules to follow, so they could play your game :music: #holler

Love Never Loved Me, No Sign of Life, Midnight Fantasy and Burn always stood out the most to me for each girl. Nothing significant stood out to me for Mel B. I think people overrated Hotter massively I find it mediocre.

Also controversial opinion but I'd have replaced Holler with something else. Not sure what exactly but I was never a huge fan though it has grown on me from multiple Greatest Hits spins.

none = a Stages-type of album they didn’t need to release. A collection of tunes none of which were single-material.

Includes many Melanie C’s, some Mel B, Emma, and Geri’s and all Victoria’s discography.

My general feeling with their solo career single picks is that while I would make a few modifications, they generally *DID* release the one song on each album with the most commercial potential. To me, the major exceptions to this would be Victoria with I Wish (for the VB album) and Geri with Love Never Loved Me (for the Passion album). So. I guess my take is that they were hampered a lot more by their overlapping solo Spice album eras...than they were the actual single choices. But all that said, I do agree with a lot of the same picks that Mr. X and Spiceboy have made.

I won't go through everything, but here's a few thoughts:

Spice Girls - Forever

1. Goodbye

2. Holler

3. If You Wanna Have Some Fun/Oxygen

I basically like Let Love Lead the Way, but I'd limit it to two ballads to represent the album as singles...and I just think Oxygen is stronger. It's also a fairly unique group ballad, I think...with it managing to be autobiographical from four different perspectives...even working in Victoria's child and Mel B's marital troubles.

Melanie C - Northern Star

1. Go!

2. Northern Star

3. Never Be The Same Again

4. I Turn To You

5. Closer

Either Go! or Gaga for the first single. I lean Go! just because William Orbit was such a hot producer at the time...and Gaga'd already been heard on a movie soundtrack.

Melanie C - The Sea

1. Think About It

2. Stupid Game

I feel like no one ever talks about Stupid Game, and I *love* that song. It's easily in my top ten Melanie C songs. I do think Think About It was her best shot at a hit on that album...and when that failed, nothing else was going to break through either. But I'd consider Stupid Game her second best bet.

Melanie B - LA State of Mind

1. In Too Deep

I mean. Nothing on this album was going to set the charts on fire...but to me, this song came the closest to being a mainstream pop track...and with a different production, could have *maybe* had some minor hit potential? Personally, I think it's far better than Today...which I find a bit meandering.

Spice and Spice world was perfection!

Forever:

1. Holler

2. Let Love Lead The Way

3. Right Back at ya

4. Double A side - Tell Me Why Double and If you wanna have some fun

Spice

1) Wannabe

2) SYBT

3) 2 become 1

4) Mama / WDYTYA

5) Love Thing (tour remix)/ Step to Me - they could have definitely secured another number one during those months of 1997

Spice re-release with Step to Me

USA Release

1) Wannabe

2) SYBT

3) 2 become 1

4) WDYTYA

5) Love thing ( tour remix) - July 1997

I would have definitely continued to promote Spice through out 1997 and push Spiceworld to be released in 1998 instead perhaps around the movie release there

Spiceworld

1) SUYL

2) Too Much

3) Stop

4) Viva Forever

5) NGUOTGT - October 1998

Pre-Forever

1) Goodbye

2) My Strongest Suit - March 1999 - to support Elton’s musical

Forever

1) Right Back at Ya (Pop version) - October 1999

2) Oxygen - December 1999

3) Holler - March 2000

Album release - April 2000

4) IYWHSF - July 2000

5) Tell Me Why (remix) - October 2000

Album re-release adding New Tell Me Why remix, WOMAN and other tracks (such as Go, Go, Go and Pain Proof)

6) LLLTW/ WOMAN - December 2000

I actually wouldn't have put Never Give Up On The Good Times on Viva Forever as a double-A as Viva Forever is strong enough of its own. Ideally Geri wouldn't have left at that point and they would've released Never Give Up On The Good Times with another track as the double-A. Not sure what other track I would've chosen though.

Geri Halliwell

1. Look At Me

2. Let Me Love You

3. Lift Me Up

4. Goodnight Kiss

1. Circles Round The Moon

2. Scream If You Wanna Go Faster / Strength Of A Woman

3. Calling

1. Passion

2. Desire

I will post my choices for Emma later.

Geri Halliwell

1. Passion

Not a choice I’d ever have expected to see someone pick.

Not a choice I’d ever have expected to see someone pick.

It's my second favourite Geri's song.

Spice definitely could have been milked more.

Wannabe

Say You'll Be There

2 Become 1

Who Do You Think You Are

Love Thing (Single Remix)/If U Can't Dance

Releasing a double-a side of Love Thing and If U Can't Dance in July 1997 would have let the girls extend their debut album era. They then could have pushed Spiceworld back to March 1998, giving the girls some time off. They still could release Too Much in December 1997 to get their second Christmas #1.
