Does anyone else think the melody of the chorus is such a rip-off of ‘Keep This Fire Burning’ by Robyn/Beverley Knight? Just me?
Is Harry swearing on Satellite? :o Why they dont play it?

Edited by Jason

Did they play LNT instead of Satellite because Satellite is on the playlist.

So effectively it then varies which Harry songs they are playing.

Or do Radio 1 not really think that deeply?

Biography

Sam Fender crafts the kind of tenacious anthemic rock that punches straight at the gut. Born and raised in 1994 in the northeastern English town of North Shields, the singer/songwriter first picked up a guitar at age 10 and began playing gigs locally as a teen to help support him and his mother. But it wasn’t until he started writing music for himself—rather than what he thought others wanted to hear—that everything started to click. That’s when he wrote his 2017 debut single, “Play God”, a propulsive, politically charged slice of indie rock. It came from a place of deep desperation, “a time where I was like, ‘I need to prove myself. I need to do something that cuts through,’” he told Apple Music. The track earned him a slot on BBC’s Sound of 2018 shortlist, which led to a deal with Polydor Records and the release of his acclaimed 2019 debut, Hypersonic Missiles, an album that channels modern-day anxiety through heartfelt heartland rock. His 2021 follow-up, Seventeen Going Under, hit even harder, pumped full of soaring arrangements and bold statements that continue to prove Fender’s power as a mighty millennial voice for the working class. - Apple Music

FFS at 'Satellite' being skipped for 'Late Night Talking' again. It's not like R1 aren't playing 'Satellite' at all, it's on their A-List?! :/

Happy to see 'UNHEALTHY' in the top 40, a shockingly quite good song after Anne-Marie's last 2 singles were both among her absolute worst to date. And Shania Twain being back in the top 40 of the singles chart is kind of iconic.

Is GGG on ACR now- bit of a drop for that one?

Oh wow... Sam Fender!! Was this is the midweek updates or have they only just reset?

Great to hear after a good while of it not being in the charts

The longevity of this song for its genre is truly outstanding. I see why, this song has always hit different. Real emotion and highly relatable lyrics, true music from the heart that I will never get bored of.
Karma dropping very quickly then

perhaps not the best single choice really

I'm not really convinced anything else would have performed better as a post-album single, I think it's done OK.

with all those re-entries I noticed Luude has missed after being top 40 in the Mids :/
the ACR system being mocked yet again, yay

and Heat Waves is still to come to

At least Heat Waves is due for permanent ACR at the end of the month that’s if OCC decide to force it onto ACR and has SGU done enough to get a reset?
