I think its incredible on week 5 we can still say that Kylie is performing brilliantly and possibly in with a chance of a further chart peak, Ideally this will be Top 10 starting the week off but that nervous results awaits us at the time of posting,

padam padam continues to provide us with hope and excitement. What are you thinking awaits for week 5?

Once again I'll vote non-mover! (From either #9 or #10 :smoke: )

Streaming keeps getting stronger, but presumably both the downloads and physicals will weaken. I'd like to think stronger streaming will offset the weakening pure sales and ultimately result in it at least remaining static in the chart.

Of course we don't know if BMG will have something new up their sleeves in week 5 to ensure that pure sales don't dive too much.

If it ends up 9 or 10 today I'd go for non mover but if its not top 10 I will be going for climb in hope of top 10.
Gone for a climb which is going to be driven by streaming….who knows cassette and CD sales might still contribute too. Expect downloads to halve this week with no new additions. Still her download sales will be relatively mighty vs other songs.
I’m going for #6: a few additional cassettes will be dispatched
At this point I don’t know - it feels like it’s taking on a life of its own now.

From what I see the top-7 is unreachable and also isn’t going anywhere to ACR. Miracle, React and As It Was all grew in sales.

David Kushner looks like is going to ACR, so there’s one that will be overtaken for sure. Loreen and the two Dave Cees aren’t a threat anymore either. But Rema might be a trouble still, it’s falling in sales but not so fast, and well, it has a huge staying power.

We also have Hannah Laing who’s climbing fast and was just a hundred copies behind Kylie without the cassettes last week.

And finally there are two potentially high new entries, one from Leigh-Anne, who has the physicals, and the other is from Peggy Gou who started very well on Thursday, so might shoot up in the update for Friday. Tomorrow’s Spotify update will tell more clearly.

From all of this I can deduct that I can see Kylie anywhere between 8 and 12, but another week in the top-10 is a strong possibility, given how healthy the sales still are.

Edit: and there’s also Dua Lipa. Her fall from 13 to 15 is deceiving, as she actually grew by around 3k in sales! Last week she was at 13 with 20.3k and this time UK RAP at 14 is on 23.7k.

I've made changes to this data - I've rearranged it so that each week starts with the most recent update!

Thank you so much to the source who kindly sent me more information for Friday's chart. I'm not sure if they wanted to be named, but I'm very grateful!

(The following data doesn't include sales achieved on Thursday 18th May) -

4 weeks overall total: 77,141

4 weeks download + streaming sales, combined: 72,406

2 weeks cd sales: 3,231

1 week cassette sales: 1,504

(2 weeks physical sales: 4,735)

Approximate guess for 4 weeks streaming sales: 58,800 (3 weeks was 38,697)

Approximate guess for 4 weeks download sales: 13,600 (3 weeks was 9,979)

Including an estimate of the Thursday 18th May sales, I'm assuming Padam Padam's total sales now exceed 78,000! Around 19,000 being pure sales (physicals + downloads).

Thanks for the data!

Love that CD sales were decent for week 2 (as well as the cassettes on their first week).

It shows BMG that when they provide the physicals, we provide the sales!

Hopefully they will continue the trend for the ‘Tension’ era.

If trends continue we’re looking at 24-25k just from streaming this week.

If say 2000 plus downloads/ physical then similar overall sales to last week…hopefully 26k plus and a stay in the top ten/ possible rise.

Well, it looks like Leigh-Anne is out of contention with debuting at 54 on Spotify. Unless she sold an enormous amount of CDs, but I don’t see more than 5k, which wouldn’t be enough, as it needs around 25k to get to the top-10 at the moment?

I don’t see Dua being a threat for now either. And REACT is now within a reaching distance too.

But Peggy Gou is in at 8. We will need to see how she goes through the week, but so far looks like in a strong contention for the top-10 debut. And I can definitely see Hannah Laing climbing above, as she’s up to 7 on Spotify.

Looks like it’s gonna be around 9-10 for Padam this week, which would be an amazing result without a physicals dump, no extra fan push etc.

^^ Leigh-Anne mentioned on her insta story 10k of signed CDs I think? I know they switched them from international to UK only but guessing a fair amount have been sold for the UK?

I doubt LM have any big following outside the UK anyway so either way most of it would’ve been bought by the British public itself.

Also totally off topic: is it just me or is the dua single underperforming?

I think 7.

Downloads will remain strong and streaming will make up for the missing physicals, + I think there will still be quite a few physicals this week also

Yeah I can imagine Leigh Anne would make top 10 if she has a 10k boost from CD’s - can’t imagine her getting less than 12-14,000 from streaming and then she’s number one on iTunes too, so I think at least 3-4,000 downloads. If that’s the case I’m predicting around 27,000 for her. I think she’s definitely a low top 10 contender.

Hannah Laing, Leigh Anne and potentially Rema could knock Kylie down but she should be ahead of David Kushner and potentially Harry if he starts to fall off a bit? And Rema is obviously up for grabs.

I can see her staying around 9-10 this week and doing similar overall numbers to last week (despite an uptake in streams).
