June 28, 20232 yr Are you suggesting they should kick Siobhan out in favour of Heidi? No, but I'm not buying the "only three members can harmonise, no more" excuse. The Spice Girls went from five to four members and could still do their harmonies. Let's be honest, if they really wanted, they could welcome Heidi back and perform as a fourpiece, but they don't want, for various reasons. Edited June 28, 20232 yr by Voodoo
June 28, 20232 yr What the f***? Heidi took part in kicking the last founding member out of the group. She made her choice in 2009. It’s interesting that everyone glosses over the fact that Keisha clearly was a problem but because Heidi and Amelle were involved in her leaving, they are crucified. Founding member or not, Keishas behaviour clearly was an issue, not Heidi.
June 28, 20232 yr Yeah I have always believed that Keisha was the issue (and possibly Mutya to a degree) Siobhan said she was miserable and left because she couldnt go on Heidi said the other two were not nice to her when she first joined Heidi & Amelle then both said what they said
June 28, 20232 yr Not having this descend into the same conversation again. Heidi is happy with her life, the original line up is back and happy and loving life. End.
June 28, 20232 yr Author And they are all civil now, happy days! Let’s just be happy each member, past and present is happy and enjoy what we’ve got!
June 29, 20232 yr Not having this descend into the same conversation again. Heidi is happy with her life, the original line up is back and happy and loving life. End. 100%!!
June 29, 20231 yr I think it served it’s purpose. My take is that it was mostly catharsis for the girls to be able to just draw a line under that era and be able to move on without it hanging around their necks like a dead weight and potentially undercutting any new project
August 24, 20231 yr Shame, Heidi is Sugababes same as Jenny is Atomic Kitten Even *I* think it's harsh to compare poor Heidi to Jenny.
August 24, 20231 yr I get the comparison - a new member replacing an original for a more successful period of the group's history. The difference is that Kerry and Siobhan couldn't be further apart. Siobhan was an integral part of the foundations of the group, as proven on her return. Kerry contributed little both initially and when she returned, falling out with Natasha and Liz to the point where they'd rather perform as a duo (and occasionally with Jenny for bigger events when she makes the trek over from Dubai) than invite her back and make amends...! Therefore, Jenny feels like a incredibly significant member to Atomic Kitten, not to mention her being a part of their reshaped post-Whole Again sound from the off (evidenced by the Right Now re-issue adding less in-your-face tracks Eternal Flame and You Are, compared to I Want You Love and See Ya for example). Heidi was also significant to Sugababes, but in terms of shaping their original sound and image, as well as in terms of chemistry with her bandmates, not more so than Siobhan (in my opinion anyway).
December 13, 20231 yr Heldi was my favourite so it is a shame she has been excluded seen as they wouldn't have been successful without her. Edited December 13, 20231 yr by kimberley88
December 14, 20231 yr Heldi was my favourite so it is a shame she has been excluded seen as they wouldn't have been successful without her. But she is the one who didn't want to work with Keisha? Like, she literally got what she wanted.
December 14, 20231 yr But she is the one who didn't want to work with Keisha? Like, she literally got what she wanted. Neither did Amelle... nor Siobhan at one point.
December 14, 20231 yr It’s funny how people like to criticise Heidi or humiliate her and she was essential in the success of the band because she bring a more accessible image and Increase the appealing of the band. I’ve never liked the vibe of 1 but when Heidi joined she brought me the most positive vibe. Saying that, and being Siohban the first who talked about Keisha’s behaviour, can you image the hell that Amelle and Heidi had been thru with Keisha? I can imaging how hard was to work with her for those girls cos. By the end of the day this is like a normal job for band members so when you have a bully boss you want to quit or pray that your boss is kicked out. I understand perfectly the decision that she took and I respect her, guess Keisha was being bossy, rude and probably a lot more of things (You only have to spend some time with her and her attitude says it all). Last, everybody talks like Heidi and Amlelle destroyed the band and the true again is that Keisha, thinking that the band was her, went from TIMW to a mega pop album like Change, then wrote most of Catfights & Spotlights which is simply horrible and then jumped to Sweet 7… luckily she was kicked out, at least she was pictured as a victim and had the chance of recover the Sugababes of the nonsense where she drove them.
December 14, 20231 yr Many of the girls (if not all of them) have expressed support for each other in recent years and stated that there's no hard feelings, so I'm not sure why some fans continue to resent certain members or line ups. Heidi isn't excluded! The reformation of 1.0 happened in 2012, after Keisha, Mutya & Siobhan mended their friendships in 2011. At that same time, Heidi, Jade and Amelle had only very recently and secretly parted ways with each other. So timewise it would never have made sense that Heidi would rejoin Keisha and Mutya... not back then, or at any point since. I remember watching a video of Keisha, maybe it was on her YouTube or TikTok, in which she praised Heidi and gave her credit for her role in the group. She said something like Heidi was a very important part of Sugababes history. So the success achieved with her is not brushed under the carpet, it's been acknowledged and respected. Doesn't mean they should be beholden to her though. Everything that went down between various members of Sugababes is really ancient history now. I'm not saying that we shouldn't reminisce about this part of their history and go over the "what ifs", but at the same time, I feel that it's really redundant in 2023 to hold resentment towards any of the members. They were young women, it was a high pressure job, and there's always two sides to the story... and what's done is done!
