October 22, 20231 yr Has anyone listened to the album yet? I might get it for Xmas. I like the single and the clips sounded ok. It’s way too early to listen to the full album yet though lol.
October 22, 20231 yr It’s alright, there’s a few standouts: DJ, Angels in the Snow, Put a Little Holiday In Your Heart being my early picks. Overall it’s a decent listen, nothing awful (except the presence of B**le).

My favourites so far are: Angels in the Snow ❄️, the amazing Cyndi Lauper duet (Put a Little Holiday in Your Heart), Christmas Ain't Christmas Without You, Drop Top Sleigh Ride, Run Rudolph Run, Baby Please Come Home and DJ Play a Christmas Song. The production is rich & expensive and Cher's vocals sound stronger than ever. :wub:

October 27, 20231 yr Really disappointed with its number 42 debut after starting out the week at number 10. Hopefully it can only mean it will will repeak in the next few weeks.
October 27, 20231 yr I think it will repeak in December sometime, especially if she does a week of promo on Graham Norton etc with a couple of performances. Highly unlikely to peak high now though I’d say top 20 if she is lucky.

October 30, 20231 yr I don't usually listen to Christmas music before December but I've given this album a few spins and I've been enjoying it much more than I expected to! I love that there's less obvious choices of covers as it immediately sets it apart from other Christmas albums and makes for a more refreshing listen. Even songs like 'Home' and 'This Will Be Our Year' which aren't Christmas songs feel at home here. 'DJ Play a Christmas Song' is such a bop, I thought it was slightly naff on first listen but actually I think Cher totally makes it work. The only weak link is 'Drop Top Sleigh Ride' but even then I think "meh, it's Cher, I'll allow it".

I wholeheartedly agree. Santa Baby aside, none of the cover choices are obvious / overdone. Most of the songs are new to me and the five original songs are fantastic. I love Drop Top Sleigh Ride. November 1, 20231 yr Gave this a listen tonight whilst not feeling festive!! I am not impressed!! The home cover is -1 !! Run Ruldoph Run was my stand out.

November 5, 20231 yr I'm sorry but that Christmas single is absolutely awful, I'm not sure I'll even enjoy it in the festive season. It has production values so cheap it could give Claire Richards a run for her money.
