I thought Padam Padam was excellent in its release but it got the Streaming Support which gave it the security it needed and topped up with physicals and downloads

Tension got early streaming support and it got its peak with the physicals and helped by the album release

Hold On To Now........ not sure what is happening

I think we need to resign ourselves to the fact that HOTN is likely to have peaked at #81 already and Santa Baby will be charting better on December 10th :kink:
When’s the video out?

Are we sure she has filmed a proper music video for it? If so, there's no reason to hold it back until December.

I think she said in an interview that she recorded 3 videos - considering that HOTN was originally going to the lead single and then the follow up I’m sure there is one, really bizarre choice to hold it back… I can only assume that BMG thought the physicals would get it into the charts this week and the video will be released later and then the vinyl to keep it going? Really poorly thought out strategy!

Acoustic Hold On To Now is surely coming too

As is Hold On to Now featuring House Gospel Choir (perfect for Xmas)

Is this a hint that they actually exist, or is this you being speculative and it’s just what you want?

specualtive, but i guess Gospel Choir in on the Extended Mix? There is an Instagram clip on Kylie page with them singing it so..... Also there is an Acoustic with Kylie and her singers and Luke Fitton on guitar so......

The record label managed PP and Tension release strategies so well, I wonder why they're screwing up on, or rather, neglecting the HOTN release?

Or, is it that the Tension era overexceeded their expectations in terms of sales and they'll just let this era die, and get whatever additional bucks they can with Extensions and the Audience With? I say "overexceeded": am aware it had a short chart run but the fact that they haven't even discounted the price just yet seems to say something.

I think they will have lots more coming its just going to be in intense bursts.

Her promo and £££ is just not selling the album i suppose but is selling the Kylie Brand which i guess is more important right now.

i guess price reductions will come.

Maybe they know something about HOTN that we don't?

It's frustrating, but I'm kind of at the point of thinking "if they don't care, why should I?"

Honestly this, I was so frustrated with the singles from Golden and Disco but now I think meh, they’ve literally given away a 3rd consecutive Top 40 single as they couldn’t align the physical releases along with a download and video.

But like you say if they are ok with a #81 peak then so be it.

Just spotted this in the main forum, if it’s correct what James is saying then that may be why Dua’s physicals are not as big as expected this week?

He also goes on to mention that it only impacts the singles chart and cassettes are still eligible for the album charts - the OCC are a mess, how can a format be ‘unplayable’ for singles inclusion but fine for albums :michelle:

It also means that the HOTN cassette sales won’t count for the charts either

I don’t think the release strategy has changed much since golden. Padam was obviously the label’s biggest success in terms of singles and they went all out with tension first week hoping for continued success. However, the strategy for hold on to now has been similar to the other singles with little thought gone into the campaign. At this stage, they probably know that without major promotion from Kylie, it’s unlikely the singles will do well and she is obviously tied up with vegas.

I don’t think he’s correct about this, the cassettes were a part of yesterdays midweek figure for HOTN.

Tension didnt get huge promo from Kylie i think the wat it was released hugely benefited it,

Lets hope Kylie and Tiesto chatted in Las Vegas. Hold On To Now Tiesto would be nice. She met JBalvin

That is absolutely ridiculous and seems designed to target artists like Kylie who benefit from cassettes. It’s the singles chart not the streaming chart, if you can get your fanbase to spend money on your track I don’t know why the OCC acts like that’s a bad thing? The streaming chart does exist if you’d rather know what’s doing well on that specifically
