I wouldn't say anyone here is doing the most, more just talking about what's happening so far!

 

Photoshopping a 20 year old picture of Britney onto a random person's body and not even doing a good edit job of it is horrible! That's very firmly in uncanny valley territory. I feel like that's a separate point from her apparent dislike of the process behind having a photoshoot done. She doesn't have to, of course. However there were other creative decisions they could have made with the artwork rather than trying to pass this off as a brand new picture.

 

Britney has a writing credit on every song included on Britney Jean, and to put it nicely her contributions to that album are genuinely minimal to non-existent depending on the track in question. Mind Your Business is a left over from the Britney Jean era (circa 2012/13), which is likely why she has a credit on it. Myah Marie mentioned the song a few years ago, so she definitely had involvement in it. If she's been removed from the track, or relegated to genuine backing vocals... then ok, but we'll see when we hear the full thing.

 

We don't really know the motives behind this song coming out, because we've not actually heard a word from Britney about it yet other than sharing the pre-save link! If it's fun for her, if this is precisely what she wants to do, then great. I think as fans we can still talk openly about how we feel though. Particularly here on BuzzJack, Britney is never going to read here!

I get where you’re coming from, I just find it bizarre people are losing their minds on social media based on a single cover. Something so many people don’t care about in 2023.

 

I’m just excited to get new music, hopefully it’s a song we end up enjoying and encourages her to make more music.

 

I also wish she would have done a new photoshoot but I just don’t expect anything from her anymore and I’m just happy with what we get. Her lack of promotion for HMC has kinda made me expect the same for this release tbh.

 

It would be great if she does post about it and shows whether she does indeed have passion for the song.

Probably her vocals from whenever this was record in the 2010s, mixed with AI. I actually think this was recorded at the same time as Scream and Shout, clones of each other, and they went for the better one at the time!! :rofl:

I reserve the right to change my mind later but it feels like a massive miss. Like it’s half there at parts. The verses are fine, the beat is pretty good, the bit where Brit is singing about the paps flows well and is probably the best part. The hook is just a bit meh and then it just feels disjointed

It was a demo in the process of making Scream and Shout. Those vocals are probably from thode same sessions. Why would she have needed to rereecord them to sound like that? Those vocals are awful as is.

Fergie was clearly the driving force of anything decent from BEP.

It's not bad in all honesty.

 

It started horrible but once the beat kicked in I was jamming.

 

Is it the best Brit song ever that she got involved, no, but that could also be said the same for S&S and that turned to be huge WW smash hit. Only difference is that S&S production seemed right at that time while this one sounds now outdated for 2023!
