SOLID 3rd day for Miley!

EDIT: Oh and after all these weeks I STILL haven't heard 'Sprinter' (I don't think I've even heard anyone talk about it outside of this forum! It's so bizarre)

Yep I’m the same, never heard it either. It’s bizarre to have 10 week number ones with so little impact on the general public nowadays

Something something death of the monoculture, something something everyone stays in their own bubble now.

(Although I will offer the counter anecdote that I've heard 'Sprinter' blasting out of passing cars many, many times, and it's been spammed to death on Radio 1, I only occasionally tune in but it seems to come on nearly every time I do).

I know I’ve heard Sprinter but I couldn’t tell you anything about it, it was that unmemorable.

You could search it on Spotify and press play, like everyone else :P

It's been a hit even in my country.

No I get that, but I’m pretty sure I’ve not heard even the littlest bit of it. Usually I hear something out and about etc.. especially a song that’s supposedly been such a huge chart hit like ‘Sprinter’. (I understand me not actively searching to play it etc.. but that wasn’t what I was getting at).

Oh and I’m not saying it hasn’t had an impact, just a general observation that unlike other similar big chart hits, I havent heard it in shops, out on my walks, public places etc..

Wasn't 'One Dance' the track that started that trend? 15 weeks at the top and most people didn't have a scoobies.

And so here for 'Hometown Glory' getting a revival which is by far Adele's most beautiful song
love Hometown Glory too <3

Her best song BY FAR!!!

funnily isn't Hometown Glory like Adele's first song and like the only one in her discography that she wrote solo without co-authors?
We have a new number 1 on Spotify! Was only a matter of time I thought. Less than 2k in it, but Sprinter’s run has come to an end

'Sprinter' falling exactly 2 weeks short of matching 'One Dance' :magic: (of course might still return there).

'Used To Be Young' and 'Cheat On Me' both climbing a bit today to #19 and #30 respectively, both holding up pretty well so far. Not as much for 'Single Soon' which is down to #46.

I would say that's the lesser of two evils at number one, but no actually it's still the greater of the two evils!
really thought Selena would be doing better with this new one
I hope Selena’s one can stabilize and have a second wind. It’s so good I’ve had it on repeat, a massive ear worm and a grower!

Most shops, public places etc. just seem to not or very rarely play rap music in general. At best you might get some pop-rap e.g. Drake In My Feelings or something like that but a straight up rap song being played in like a supermarket is pretty much unheard of lol. Only feels weird in this case because no other rap song has ever spent that long at #1.

Possibly, but I hear rap songs a lot out and about (probably more than any other genre tbh). It's just bizarre to me, especially for such a big hit that I've heard very little to none of/about it.

(I'm not moaning tbh. Rap isn't usually my go to genre. Chart hits usually are on my radar though - which is why it's just odd to me.)
