Oh wow 70,135, that is like 28k less than what Jesy had for 'Bad Thing' on its first day and that ended up not charting.

I'm in shock because it has had great HHUK and NMF placements?!

I hope the streams increase over the week because of the spotify placements.

Edit: oop misread this as WW figures.

Hopefully she can drop a lyric video or her capital acoustic performance as those views will count towards sales right?

186k views on Youtube so far in 20hrs.

The song is nowhere near as good as DSL and she has used up all thise curiosity plays on DSL.

I'm not sure why so many think this is better than DSL, feels more people really wanting it to be and do better which I get.

Because music is subjective lmao, what one person might not like the other might love. Stop putting words in people's mouths.

I'm personally not a Stan to delude myself to like something when it's rubbish, I can admit DSL was okay but ultimately fairly boring with little replay value. This has more personality, a proper book and better production value and showcases her as a star - a shame it doesn't look like this will be a hit for the time being though but then you look at generic stuff like Prada and faceless dance songs that the public eat up at every opportunity so idk.

Agreed this shows us more of Leigh-Anne as an artist and an idea of the direction she wants to go in!

Charts don't change my enjoyment of a song, it will remain a bop even if it doesn't do well.

We talk about 12 songs from Olivia Rodrigo, not 150 songs.

It's a bad start for Leigh-Anne, that's a fact.

Eeeeesh chill. I’m not disputing it’s a bad start, I’m just trying to soften the blow.

I personally prefer Don't Say Love, but I think My Love is perfectly serviceable too. I tend to agree that the verses fall a bit flat for me.

All subjective - whether we say it's good or bad or flat, etc.

What's clear though is that she has put in a lot of hardwork into this project (and DSL for that matter). So if it ends up flopping, she can rest assured she has tried hard!

Once it underperforms everyone will be saying it wasn't so good and DSL was better, especially if it say goes 23-68-out.

If she ends up getting an album out I'm sure everyone will opine what singles she should've gone for :P

Not at all, most of my favourite songs of the year aren't chart smashes. It doesn't dictate how much I like a song or not at all.

I will stand by it's a better song/video than DSL no matter how well it does or doesn't do.

How soon is "sooner"? Another year? 2? 5? or when they reunite for an anniversary so you can say "see, I told you!".

Just let them breathe as solo artists for a bit, jeez  It's tiring seeing this kind of comment the minute a song doesn't do the numbers you expected... It's a completely different era now. It ain't as simple as reuniting in a couple of years...

Whether this is a hit or not (I hope it's one of those that manages to grow through the coming weeks) I love that she's getting to do what she loves and has wanted to do since she became a star. This could easily just be another Normani situation (a lot of songs/collabs but no album kinda thing) although I DO think (as much as people probably won't agree ) we'll get the album at some point.

I would like this to be a hit for her because the song is a banger and she absolutely deserves it as you can tell she worked so hard on it. But as a personal choice, I also don't care if it is one or not coz selfishly, the song is out there now and I can listen to it as little or as much as I desire to. If nobody else gets on board, that's cool.

As for my opinion on the song, I absolutely LOVE it and I cannot get enough of it right now. 'Don't Say Love' served as a nice introduction (which I still love btw x), but I really think this song solidified her as a popstar in her own right. It's so catchy and I see people saying the verses aren't doing it for them which does sadden me a little tbh, coz I think the verses are perfectly suited to the song and really help elevate the chorus more.

The video is just SO GOOD! It delivered exactly what it needed to and that was primarily to showcase her as a solo star! The bits in the woods are my favourite parts  But all of it is... *chef's kiss* Ayra Starr is INSANELY stunning and beautiful too! I didn't know what she looked like before this as I don't think I've seen her before. She also excelled in her parts too. SO PROUD OF LEIGH <3

Chill.

They’d make more money from Little Mix than they would with solo careers that have singles lucky to spend a week in the top 40. Jesy has learned this and now Leigh will be learning it too.

My best part of the video is where she literally vibrates to the vibrate lyric. Love it!

I’m not in a rush for a reunion, I’m excited to see what all the girls do individually. We’re going to keep getting fed by them and it’s so exciting to see what they’ll put out individually.

Also I just wanted to say I still really like DSL, the video was just awful!

Ahh I can’t pick my favourite part of this video, there are so many! I love her in that silver outfit near the end’

It feels like the GP are not here for solo Leigh-Anne, I’m not sure if it’s because all of the girls never really established themselves outside of the group prior to the break?

Again as with single 1 there appears to be very little hype for this? If it wasn’t for here I think it’s release would have passed me by. I thought the LM fanbase would be all over the girls solo projects and getting them to #1 on iTunes etc., to get thing started.

At this stage I can’t see it doing anything more than DSL unless it really picks up on streaming and radio, with everything in week 1 (3 x physicals, 59p download) streaming needs to be mega for it to hold up in week 2.
