Skimming through the predictions, pretty much everyone was a way off this time - Seven's semi 2 predictions were the closest with 3 wrong predictions, every other set had at least 4 wrong :magic:

 

Ojnoj and Skall both qualifying after getting 0 predictions, while Bronzil, FSR Rontvia and République d'Áskorza went out after being predicted through by everyone. Oop x

Above the first line is winner contenders. Part of me can't shake the thought that Aesthetica just sounds like a landslide pop winner, it has all the ingredients to do it - catchy, well produced female pop, lots of internet hype, a big chorus, not sure what else it needs? But then due to the sheer strength of the competition I don't think it will be a runaway winner, Kath has got so many high votes locked in again, It Ain't Over is such a big track that a lot of people have already expressed love for, there's no chance it's not going to be major. And in many other months I'd say Kluminican Republic sounds like a winner, it still could be - who knows, god knows they deserve one. Also Fljótavík - wow, if that's not in contention then something has gone terribly wrong. I wouldn't rule out a surprise win for it like Zone 1 to 6000. Certainly could 18 its way into contention.

 

Above the next line is top ten contenders. I had orignally put Cor Lupus a few spots higher but always get roasted for that if they come lower, so I've moved it a little lower so I can put less clown makeup on :lol: Quintessa squeaking into the top 10 might be wishful thinking but I really hope it puts up a fight to get up there, banger.

 

And then below the third line are all the others I had at 25/1 or higher. But I'm sure, as ever, others will surprise me too while some of these will end up in the bottom ten.

Haha, a part of me also knows this could be wishful thinking but I reckon it's got 200 points alone from about 15 people. I guess the bigger challenge might be getting the necessary 100-150 more points from the other 45 countries :lol: It strikes me as something you will either love...or not.

When I confirmed I definitely thought I could potentially be in the Top 10 should the stars align, would be nice to get my 3rd of the year if possible! A lot of dance this month apparently but mine is a little more palatable perhaps for the pop girlies which might work in my favour?

Listening to everything again before voting and I definitely think Cadelicia should be a contender. It just sounds like it would appeal to such a wide base of voters.

Cadelicia gave me the winner from the first listen. It sounds like a mixture of Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" with Carly Rae Jepsen, plus Jai Wolf has previous proven success and BANKS is an absolute BJ fave.

 

I think the only major omission is surely Sovarasma will hoover up some good points too? It is SO intense.

Kath’s has entered a LOT of participants’ personal charts now so I’m still not ruling that out, but agree that Cadelicia has the momentum right now, and is also appearing in quite a few charts now.

 

The pop vote is the hardest to predict as a lot of the pop voters don’t post charts or discuss the entries.

I'll take a Cadelicia win over an Aesthetica one (especially as it'd be a first time win) although 'Indian Summer' is still wayyy better than both of the subsequent Jai Wolf entries so I'll be a bit gutted at it remaining his least successful entry :kink:

 

Obviously if FLJ can niche themselves to a win that'd be wonderful but I don't think it'll quite do enough to be in the mix, I think low top 10.

 

I think Thelonia's chances are also being a bit underrated (although I also think it's probably more likely a low top 5 or so than a winner)

I really thought Headache would likely be a surefire DNQ so a low top 10 would be a very good result in my eyes. I'll believe it when I see it though, I think it will be towards the bottom of the rankings for the vast majority of participants. It's been great to see gooddelta and Ansel get behind it so strongly though and it's very much appreciated :wub:

I think for myself I'd say I'm probably on for a bottom 10 or so... it's not resonated in the way I thought it might which is a shame!

NAH not a chance, at the very least top half!

 

I also feel like I’m in for my lowest placing in a while, in spite of the odds, but it was a pretty strong contest so I understand tbf!
