Okay, they’ve FINALLY 59p’d it. Shame they didn’t do it a day earlier to stay top 40, but hopefully that allows it to gain some ground.

 

Hopefully Kylie tweets that it’s 59p.

BMG really dropped the ball as soon as they realised Tension wasn't going to do a Padam Padam.

That's a shame, but I don't really mind. I'm over the moon with its peak and this time a few months ago it'd have been beyond my wildest dreams for a Kylie single to even be this high anyway.

There's a tiny chance it could nab another week when her album comes out I guess.

I'm probably the only one that isn't caring too much as the peak is what counts for singles these days. And to say a 55yo in her 35th yr of music scored 2 top 20 hits is amazing. The record books won't go on about how said 2nd single fell 19-44 in its 2nd week! :) Come to think of it, falling out of the top 40 seems so much better than if it had made 39 where the narrative would be "last week's highest new entry falls a massive 20 places to 39".

 

I just hope they pull out all the stops for single #3 so at least it has a chance of a top 40 and not do this 59p reduction or extended mix releases in a staggered logic-less way.

They left the download too late and didn't push it. Should have done the download on Wednesday.

 

Also the 59p price reduction would have helped.

 

Still 19-44 is not bad.

Like you say had they put the extended mix up even a day earlier, it could've stayed top 40.

Come week of 22nd we have 3 Olivia, 3 Doja Cat, 3 Drake and the 3 Ed songs all heading top 20 and it's going to get mighty hard for others to grab spots
