August 31, 20232 yr I am so happy for Claire, even tho it looks like she will be at #2 it's amazing how well she is doing I was expecting her to be lower top 10 if anything maybe selling 3-4k so fact she was close to #1 and is doing well is so good
August 31, 20232 yr Yeah, great points about maybe future regulations that no one can decide to just release *during a tracking week on the fly (when the label/ someone's team) already knows how many physicals are in the bank after a minimum of weeks (eg: 2-3+ weeks). What they should/could do dunno but ethically feels like something...a middle ground or whatever needs to happen. The dicey part is all about already knowing how many you have sold for an entire week(s) & being able to potentially (likely) use that as leverage if there's a week before 'official release date' that ends up weaker than expected. Looks like what happened here. Yes, Vampire has proven to be pretty massive, liked by most and solid top 2/top 5 for several weeks. But it's not if but when something that's total gunk and UNworthy weaponizes all this against a song that's as good AS Vampire (& robbing IT from #1) lol Edited August 31, 20232 yr by JK1
August 31, 20232 yr Burna was on 7.8K on Tue, 8.7K on Wed, and then out of the blue on 11.1k today? He had a mammoth pop up shop/signing yesterday for around 5 hours and has one today in Birmingham from 3-11pm so is managing to pull in big sales from those it seems.

August 31, 20232 yr He has streams to be added, had a 5 hour signing session yesterday and an 8 hour one today. I’d love Claire to get it (I’ve bought 10 copies in support) but I think she’ll end up falling quite wide off the mark. With how it looks i think the same, i think the gap might be wider than we think when we see the sales tomorrow. Number 2 for Claire is is still great and she could come close to 10k so from both sales and chart position she has done far better than i was expecting.
