To be fair though, when it comes to more fan-focused events, she tends to include more inspired choices. She knows how to read the audience, but I agree a little bit of a change up would be welcome. I mean, she has a whole host of PWL singles outside of 'Lucky'/Locomotion'/'Devil' that she could sing and would go down a storm with these sort of audiences.
I do agree, i think she could have changed up a bit, and i think a medley of pwl would have provided her with an opportunity to add either another song from Tension or another less obvious single or even give disco or golden a look in.

I kind of almost got the idea when she discarded 'Breathe' from the Golden setlist early on because she got cold feet.

 

I'm probably being dramatic but I feel like I'm almost over her as a live performance artist at this point. Unless when she does a tour after this Vegas hoofw*n**ry thing is over with, and throws in some unexpected surprises. I'm just bored of her shtick, it never offers anything new.

I'vr seen the Clips on someones Instagram and this looks soooo slick and colourful. The crowd love it and the dancers, singers, visual graphics and of course Kylie look sensational.

 

ITV will have had a say, they will have paid for it all and it is going to be sold to multiple countries. Obviously if it was 2.5 hours long then we could have everything but its s 60 min slot for a TV show.

 

It will look great on TV next week.

Apparently she’s been ill….I said a few weeks ago she needs to be careful so at least she made it through and put on a good show.

 

Imagine if she’d cancelled, eeeek.

She's been so busy so I'm not surprised she is ill but hopefully she will be OK again soon.

I'm surprised slow isn't on the set list as it's another song she generally likes to include and it's good that kids isn't in there.

The whole deconstruction eras are also not represented which is a surprise but I know she is limited with how many songs she can do.

 

 

It's frustrating! With such a brill back catalogue and a great new album she could showcase, she always falls back on these same tired old choices.

 

I have to agree tbh. I’m particularly tired to death of hearing songs like kids, the locomotion and love at first sight when there are loads of others that I’ve never heard her perform.

She has loyal fans who listen to all those etc. Its an attempt to grab some attention from general public etc.

Just pleased she included the three singles from Tension and opened with Tension!

 

The rest is just light entertainment as Smiley says…it’s ITV, keep it as simple as possible.

I don’t think people are saying deep cuts or rare B Sides. But at least one album track from Tension and a couple of less obvious - but still hit - singles, would stand to shake things up.

 

The start of this Tension era was a huge indication that Kylie was proving she’s not just a legacy artist, she can cut it with new hits. So it’s a little frustrating that simultaneously her vegas set list & prime time TV show… largely present the legacy, not the current album that was off the charts after a few weeks and needs a boost!! This show stands to give a bigger boost to Step Back in Time album. :drama:

Definitely could have been better choices than some of these. When there are only 11 songs you don’t need three from Fever (certainly not Come Into My World) and you don’t need both Lucky and Locomotion.

 

Dancing would have been a good shout, it’s different and I think it’s pretty popular. Something like Better the Devil You Know instead of Locomotion if she wanted older songs.

It's hard to get the balance right as fans watching know all the songs whether they are hits or not the casual viewer will only know the hits and it might prompt them to buy/stream the hits and as there are 3 songs from Tension there it might attract them to buying the album.

I think she should have reduced some of the hits into a medley so that they are still included to make way to mix in another song or two from Tension to promote it or have removed a hit and put in a medley of album tracks from Tension and that way all is covered.

With a show like this a song like tears on my pillow could have also worked as its never performed and while not hugely popular with us fans it is a song known to the public and brings nostalgia way more than a song like come into my world.
