Ed queueing up for the dole as we speak :cheeseblock:

Jung Kook with a significantly lower debut than 'Seven' so nevermind to the chance of him hitting #1. Actually still behind 'Seven' on the global chart oop x

Nice at 'Baddadan' hitting a new peak today - could yet actually go higher than #9 officially this week? Taylor bound for ACR and nothing obviously looking to debut ahead of it or overtake. I guess Jung Kook still might if he has enough download spam.

Spotted that Tyla has debuted in the US Spotify chart today!

It did chart, just quite low down at #77 in 2017!

Oh, today I learned :magic:

The new Jung Kook song has 2 versions so would actually be #1 when combined on the global chart, and probably a little higher on the UK chart as well but yeah definitely doesn’t seem like it’ll be close to as big as Seven was

Understandable when that was when it was used in 13 Reasons Why

oh my Ed only 4 songs top 200

this released it's no different from Folklore or Evermore

actually those got even less support from Spotify on day 1, so Ed cannot really complain

this is a comparison of how the last 5 Ed albums have performed on day 1 on Spotify

wasn't expecting to not even be able to do a proper comparison for Autumn cos it only has 4 songs t200

I think the issue with Ed is there is no demand for new music 🤷‍♂️ like he’s been present non stop basically since 2017, there’s never been much of a break from him, and if there’s gaps in albums his hits are so big that they are always around. And I think people are kinda sick of him. I quite like Ed, but I feel like he needs to take a proper break for a good year or so in order for people to want him back because right now no one really wants any more new music from him because we’re oversaturated with ed Sheeran
Ed's relentless, non stop exposure might finally be catching up with him. Always makes me laugh when artists release an album implying they didn't expect many people to listen to it anyway. Sure Jan.
Tbf he been naturally declining since divide , just more obvious with last 2releases
Funny thing with Ed is, that he implies that he is "on a break" and doesn't release anything bla bla and fast forward two months we have an album. My favourite was when he stated last November that he will be "quiet until 2023 "

Erm folklore and evermore were both announced literally hours before release , the only comparison is both have aaron desnar as a producer

Technically that wasn't a lie  March was still 2023

Ed could probably make this album smash if he wanted to. He’s quite deliberately going quiet for this one probably because he’s once again responding to his critics. It’s like when he suddenly came out as a chart geek when Bad Habits was released because until then he didn’t quite have the chart geeks onside. The latest criticism has been that he’s obsessed with his own success and this is his way of proving he isn’t.

How dare he try and be successful at his job :P

I'm not a fan, but Ed is now at the stage in his career where he can do whatever he wants. There was a question on The Chase which revealed "Shape of You" or "Perfect" (or likely both) are estimated to generate £5 million in royalties per year. He will always attract negativity but if he was chasing hits and glory, I'm sure he could do more than he's done this time.

Ed Sheeran: Autumn Variations review – as flat and dull as a grey sky

(Gingerbread Man Records)

Plodding, genre-hopping songs all end up as unimaginative ballads, their dreary lyrics littered with gibberish

The reviews are in - and they're brutal :cheeseblock: He wishes he can get a no.q with this!!!

I really think this Ed album is the biggest bomb of all time. He can say whatever he wants about it "no promo" or whatever, he used to be the biggest artist in the world 5 minutes ago, and these "numbers" are just... no words.

Kagy Preyy, Nelly Firtdao, Jess Glynne, G.E.M...
