Looks like Jorja went to ACR then as I didn't see properly in the OCC update.

Kinda wish Miley added another iconic #11 peaking song to her discography if it was to miss the top 10 😂

Also I need bad idea right to get back into the top 10 asap! Hopefully GUTS’ release next week will make that happen

September 1, 20233 yr

I like the way Jack said there is loads of new entries at the very start of the chart show, 4 new tracks isn't LOADS

Biography

As a kid growing up just south of Atlanta, rapper Gunna, a.k.a. Sergio Kitchens (born 1993), used to practice what he and his friends called “six-month runs”: cut all extraneous spending for six months and save, save, save. The discipline and deferred gratification served him well: After spending his late teens and early twenties quietly exploring his style and releasing only one mixtape, Gunna broke big in 2016 with a feature on Young Thug’s “Floyd Mayweather”—a cosign that helped him bypass the hustle and made him one of the most sought-after new voices in the game. Later that year, Thug’s YSL label released the first of his multi-part Drip Season series, which synthesized his influences into an airy trap sound: smooth and mellow, blending spacious beats with a relaxed, highly melodic delivery and off-the-cuff humor. Between a couple more seasons of Drip and features with Travis Scott (“Yosemite”) and Metro Boomin (“Space Cadet”), Gunna also forged a productive collaboration with Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, releasing Drip Harder in late 2018. The pairing was anointed GOAT status from a sometime GOAT himself, Future, with whom Gunna also featured on “Unicorn Purp.” Like Thug, Gunna has a thing for fashion; “drip” is his slang for personal style. “The salesmen that know me in Barneys say I smell like Biscotti mixed with Creed,” he raps on “Idk Why,” from his official 2019 debut album, Drip or Drown 2. - Apple Music

Bou

Bou is a standout graduate of drum & bass’s new generation. As Beatport has documented, the second half of the previous decade saw a renaissance in jagged, jump-up sounds that propelled a whole crop of producers to the forefront of the genre. A vanguard of established artists — most notably the Kings of the Rollers — led the charge, but Bou and others were one row back, crafting their sound and shaping drum & bass’s roughshod evolution. After a friend introduced him to drum & bass through the free party scene, Bou got hooked on YouTube production tutorials and the SoundCloud jump-up community from the age of 16. Now 25 years old, Bou is a highly successful artist and touring DJ, having recently remixed both High Contrast’s classic “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” and DJ Fresh’s “Gold Dust.” With an upward-trending trajectory and a sound that has begun to move into more radio-friendly territory, Bou is entering the next chapter of his story. Bou’s trajectory has matched the rising fortunes of the genre as a whole, and it’s impossible to deny that he has played a central role in the rough-and-tumble jump-up sounds that have defined the genre. Should drum & bass take a turn toward the mainstream, it seems likely he’ll help write that chapter too. - Beatportal
