Obsession still increasing like crazy. 11 weeks in the top 10 wow, how many horror films have managed that feat i wonder.

So Spider Man to go straight into summer top 5, likely at 4. Dont see it making as much as previous but should pass £20,000

I doubt Curse Of The Wererabbit will chart as like the other aardman films, M4J. It might chart if Cineworld drop the M4J and allow everyone to watch it

It’s definitely passing £20,000!!!

kink

But honestly I think this is getting close to if not beating ‘No Way Home’ opening!

Spider-Man openings in the UK (I think - or at least a ballpark of each):

Spider-Man (2002): £9.4m

Spider-Man (2004): £7.2m

Spider-Man (2007): £11.9m

--

The Amazing Spider-Man: £11.1m

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: £15m

--

Spider-Man: Homecoming: £9.4m

Spider-Man: Far From Home: £14.1m (including previews)

Spider-Man: No Way Home: £31.9m (including previews)

--

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: £2.3m

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse: £9.1m

I definitely think it's debuting in at least 2nd place. It's just a question of "How high" can BND go for opening weekend...

I won’t spoil anything more before the final chart (which might be less detailed than usual as I’m on holiday) but Spider-Man has made just under £13 million in previews in the past two days

Current projection for UK could be £50,000+!!!

Also Odyssey is holding up well. This is gonna be a huge profitable weekend across the world in the box office.

£50k has it lost sales since @LewisGT teased £13m

£50 million? Is every screen in the UK just playing Spider-Man or something? Those are US #1 numbers.

Looking at the worldwide projections it cant be far off that looks like that £50m might even be a gross under estimate

~6-9% if the entire country’s population going to see a movie in one weekend? Seems kind of ridiculous. I didn’t think UK partakes in such outrageous forms of tribalism outside of xenophobia x
